Can be obtained by contacting Equestrian Australia - Sue Birch sue@efansw.com.au PARKING Upon arrival, in Parking Area 1, please drive the nose of your vehicle up to the white line on the ground to allow for THREE rows of floats behind. There is also parking in the paddock below the main car park (Parking Area 2) and to the right at the main entrance (Parking area 3). RULES - The competition will be conducted in accordance with Equestrian Australia rules. Dress regulations apply and Standard Safety Approved. Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted. A copy of the Rule Book is available from the EA website. STABLES must be cleaned before leaving! WARM-UP AREAS and LUNGING - The indoor arena is available for warm up. Please keep to one side, do not cross over white poles. We ask all riders to know and maintain arena protocols and be considerate to other riders. Other areas available for warming up are in front of Arena 4 (no lunging allowed) and next to Arena 5. Lunging is allowed near the road at Arena 5 or in the Round Yard. No one is to enter or stand in the entrance to the indoor, riders only. Please ensure that all coaches/friends/grooms/family who are attending are aware of this rule. GEAR CHECK & STARTING TIMES - All Competitors are required to present for a Gear Check located at the rear of the building, prior to each test (minimum 10 minutes. Failure to do so may result in elimination under EA rules. Riders must be near the relevant arena within 5 minutes prior to allocated test time. If a rider cannot ride at the allocated time, the Front Office must be notified. HEALTH & HYGIENE - All attendees should use their own feed bins and water buckets. Toilets are located in the indoor arena near the canteen.

2 PET & CHILDREN POLICY - Dogs are not welcome at Il Cadore so please leave your pets at home. Children should be supervised by an adult at all times. Care must be taken when walking around Il Cadore grounds and near arenas to ensure utmost safety for all involved. TEST SHEETS - Test sheets will be available at the completion of each test when scoring is concluded and judges have signed them off. If you require a test to be posted to you, please include $2.00 and mark your name, address and tests details on an envelope (can be obtained near the Gear Check station), then leave at the Front Office. HELPERS / VOLUNTEERS Many hands make light work! Please let us know if you/or a family member are able to help out on the day we need pencillers, gear check stewards, runners and general duties. 3 Etiquette for Warm-Up Arena Reminder to riders re the protocol for riding in the warm-up arena: Etiquette for Warm-Up Arena (extract from EA Dressage rules) As there are many horses warming up in a restricted area it is important that all riders have knowledge of the etiquette required in group riding. This ensures safe riding and achieves harmony in busy areas. safety is paramount and a collision should be avoided at all times before entering the warm-up area make sure the gateway and immediate track are clear riders should pass left shoulder to left shoulder when on the track when not on the outside track, eg on a diagonal line, riders should give way to horses on their left the more progressive gait has priority on the track halt should not be on the track walk should not be on the track and does not have right of way trot has priority over walk canter has priority over trot lateral work has priority over all paces when circling, anticipate your return to the track so as to not stop the flow of other riders mounting, dismounting and gear adjustment should be outside the indoor consideration should be given to behaviour of other horses in the arena that may upset your horse it may be necessary if your horse is upsetting others to leave the area if a horse is upsetting the majority, an Official should be sought with a view to requesting that horse's removal for safety's sake Directions from OC should be followed at all times Stallions: Stallions should be clearly identified with a green disc on the saddlecloth. Some owners/riders have started using green bridle numbers which are not as visible as the green discs and owners should consider using both for safety reasons. Think about your fellow competitors and their horses. Looks are one thing but safety for all is more important.
