In the spirit of the competition 1* and above Eventing horses will not be accepted into the restricted 90cm and 1m points series classes. (Riders who are found to have been ineligible for the restricted points classes, will be reported to EA). Riders may enter individual classes or all three in the series. Series finalist s with be determined using points from rounds 1 & 2. Where there is an equality in points they will be treated as equal and if in the top 15, scores will qualify. All other horses are eligible to compete in the Consolation class on the last day. There will be one Consolation class for each level for both restricted points and open horses. CONCURRENT CLASSES If any class in this program is marked as Concurrent then horses may enter one or the other but not both. INCORPORATED CLASSES If a class in the program is marked as Incorporated then horses must enter the main class to be eligible for the Incorporated class.

8 A Best Performed Eventing Combination A trophy rug plus $500 prize money will be presented to the best performed eventing combination for the competition. The rug and prize money are kindly donated by Bridget Dunn in honour of her father, Jim Dunn OAM. The winner will be the combination with the most clear rounds over the duration of the 3 days. In the case of equal placing the combination competing at the higher level will win. To be eligible horses need to have a State Eventing Competition Licence and have completed 3 EA events in the last 12 months. Clear rounds in the 90cm and 1m Series will not count for 1* horses and above. Closing date of entries Monday 26 th March 2018 Entries 2. Equestrian South Australia will conduct the 2018 South Australian State Jumping Championships under the auspices of Equestrian Australia (EA) in strict accordance with FEI and EA National Show Jumping Rules (effective 1 January 2018, as amended) The following applies. (a) Riders taking part in the Event must be financial members of EA. (b) Horses competing in classes 1.05m and above must be registered with EA, have a current Jumping Competition Licence (formerly Performance Card) and be owned by a financial member of EA. Competition Licences will be requested at the event for prize money to be processed as per our conditions of entry and the EA National Rules. 4. Entries MUST have all horse, rider and owner details including EA registration (where applicable) and membership numbers (where applicable). All competitors are strongly encouraged to submit their entries via NOMINATE and pay fees by electronic funds transfer. A Postal Entry Handling Fee of will be charged for
9 entries and cheques sent by post to the ESA Office (fees must accompany these entry forms). 5. Swabbing: Random swabbing will take place. A swabbing fee of $10.00 per horse must be paid with entries. Please make yourself aware of prohibited substances and the relevant withdrawal period. Check the ingredients of all products you are using including herbal products with your vet. Security and access to the horse is the sole responsibility of the owner/rider. 6. It is a condition of entry that each horse will be housed in a stable for the time that they are at the event. No tying up of horses to floats or trucks will be allowed. 7. The Organising Committee reserves the right at its absolute discretion to alter or amend any part of the program. 8. The Organising Committee reserves the right refuse entry without giving a reason and to ballot horses if necessary. 9. Protests are to be submitted in writing to the show committee within 30 minutes of the incident or the announcement of placings and with a fee of $50.00, to be refunded if protest is upheld. 10. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organising committee and will incur a $10.00 fee per class. 11. Substitution of a nominated horse may take place only within the nominated es and must be notified to the Secretary at least two hours prior to the commencement of the. 12. Jumping horses may be transferred from one class to another, without incurring a late entry fee but additional entry money if appropriate must be paid. This must be done by 8.00am on each day. 13. Scratching: 75% of entry fee will be refunded only if Veterinary Certificate or Doctors Certificate is produced within 3 days of the competition. Once an entry is accepted, the Grounds Fee (and Post Entry Fee if applicable) is non-refundable. 14. A Ground fee of $30.00 per rider must be paid with entries 15. Juniors: Competitors may take part in competitions for juniors until the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of Horses may only compete in one of the Junior, Young Rider or Senior Championships categories. 17. Horses competing in classes 1.20m and below may have 3 starts in one day. The Organising Committee may refuse an entry due to horse welfare reasons. 18. State teams may include one member from another state, if they have insufficient riders present at the event to make up a team of State teams to be nominated by an EA official before am Friday 6 th April, No power cords are permitted to cross the roadways. 21. money will be paid directly into the competitor s nominated bank account within 10 working days of the event. If incorrect bank details are supplied prize money will be forfeited. STABLING: It is a condition of entry that every horse/pony is accommodated in a stable while at the event. Tying up of horses/ponies to floats or trucks is prohibited. A stable will be allocated to each horse/pony entered for the event. Competitors must book a stable for the event - a fee of $165 will apply. Horses may come and go on a daily basis or remain overnight. Arrivals are permitted only from 10.00am on Thursday 5 th April 2018 onwards. 8 bags of sawdust will be supplied and extra bags will be available to purchase. The general area kept clean and tidy. Stallions will be accommodated in the brick heavy horse stables. The Stable Coordinator will allocate stables and be available for assistance from 10.00am to 6.00pm on Thursday, 5 th April and from 7.00am to 6.00pm each
10 day of the event. Arrivals outside these times are by negotiation only. Entrants (riders/owners/competitors) may be liable for any damage caused to their allocated stable(s). BEDDING: 8 bags of sawdust are provided on arrival in each allocated stable, additional sawdust is available to purchase if required. Please per-order. FLOATS AND TRUCKS: Will be able to park within the Show Grounds; please indicate on entry form. If not camping a vehicle pass must be purchased. CAMPING: Facilities are available for camping on the Show Grounds: Please note that each vehicle brought to the grounds is required to have a pass. Powered sites - $110 for the duration of the event Includes 1 vehicle pass Unpowered sites - $50 for the duration of the event Includes 1 vehicle pass Additional Vehicle passes for the duration of the event - $10 SHOW GROUND SECURITY: Due to the venue being in an inner-city location it is necessary to secure the perimeter overnight. Please be aware that the access gates will be locked nightly between approximately 11.00pm and 6.30am. There is no access during this time other than in the case of an emergency. WARM UP ARENAS: The Sand Arena will be available for general work and class warm-up. No lunging will be allowed on the Sand Area after 8.00am each day. Practice fences will be provided on the RAHS Main Arena. The practice arena will be restricted to a maximum of three horses, with additional horses permitted on the trotting track. LUNGING: Lunging will only be allowed in a specified area before 8.00am each day. SHOW GROUND CONDITIONS Dogs must be on lead and under effective control at all times No bicycles, scooters, skateboards etc. are to be ridden within the show grounds RIDERS LOUNGE: Complementary access to all riders Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Come in and refuel throughout the day and watch your peers compete from the comfort of our riders lounge. Hosted by Dapple EQ in the VIP Marquee on Friday and Saturday. Hosted by Horseland Adelaide in the Horseland Adelaide trade village on Sunday. Includes light snacks and refreshments. Tickets for friends and family can be purchased for $15 per day DAPPLE EQ" VIP MARQUEE SUNDAY: Dapple EQ are again hosting the VIP Marquee on Sunday the 8th of April.
