Our monthly fun shows out at Verde View Farm in Sanger, will continue to happen, thanks to the hard work of Phyllis Rumley. The club meeting on Feb 5 was well attended, including several new members, so looks like everyone is ready to get out and drive. 3 CVHA February 2014 General Meeting Minutes Board Members Present: Sharon Booth, Kim Johnson, Brent Patton, & Kathy Sidman Absent: Bernice Strange Sharon called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. The board meeting was waived. Sharon began the meeting by presenting Phyllis with a Thank You bottle of wine for her efforts in putting on the WKRP shows. She then passed around the 2014 activity schedule. She noted we were unable to get the Fresno County Horse Park in the spring, but have a 6/28 playday, also 9/6 and 11/22 & 11/23 dates reserved. It is hoped to coordinate a clinic with Drew Callahan in November. It was suggested having an HDT instead of a playday, and Brent suggested having a hazard tournament, which could be based on fastest or optimum time. Sharon noted she will be checking with the San Joaquin Parkway in regards to using the River Center property for a Spring Drive. Treasurer Report: Brent stated the current balance is $ , and tomorrow he will be depositing $ in membership dues bring the balance to $ He also noted that we are lacking in membership participation to have a quorum for voting purposes. He suggested ing the agenda items. Sharon is going to begin the process of gathering the information to prepare a new budget. Old Business: Kathy said she is still selling the MacAfee tack from time to time, with the proceeds going to the club. There are still two nice surcingles left. There are also some small sheets and an incomplete harness as well. New Business: Jackie Mills said that the McKee s would like to coordinate their events with ours. They have a quadrille practice on the second Saturday of each month, with free driving. They would like to coordinate with our WKRP shows to promote driving. Perhaps safety checks was an idea. Contact Jackie or Denise Cuendette with any ideas. Sharon then announced the resignation as secretary from Kim due to her work schedule. After discussion Sallie stated she would assume the role. Sharon made a motion for Sallie to become secretary, with a second by Kathy, and the motion passed unanimously. The website was next on the agenda and Sharon stated her son will be our webmaster. Allyn will be acknowledged and thanked for all of her wonderful service in the next newsletter. Kim made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 p.m., seconded by Kathy and passed unanimously. Respectfully submitted by: Kim Johnson, Secretary
