The person in charge must not leave their respective lots or address the Judge unless authorised by the Stewards of the exhibition. The owner or exhibitor of any exhibit disapproved of, as an exhibit by the committee of the Society must immediately, upon notice to that effect, remove such exhibit from the Society s grounds. The Judge or judges may award a second or third prize instead of a first one, or may withhold a prize altogether, where there is no competition or where the exhibits are not of sufficient merit. Where the judges award equal first, first & second prize money will be equally awarded. No prize can be awarded by the Judge or Judges for extra exhibits if the prize list contains a class or section in which the same can compete. Should any exhibit having gained a prize be disqualified, the next on the list does not necessarily obtain the same prize. The Committee with or without the advice of the judge or judges decide the question. The privilege of distributing trade lists, advertisements and other documents is restricted exclusively to exhibitors at their respective stands. Any infringement of this regulation will incur expulsion from the ground. No exhibit without the permission of the secretary can be removed from the exhibition until 4.30 pm on the day of the show, when all exhibits can leave. All exhibitors of stock will be required to provide their own forage, and the exhibitors of machinery, all the fuel and material necessary; to enable them to comply with the above. Proof of age of exhibit of stock must be available if requested by Steward. The breeding year dates from 1st August for horses. Exhibitors of sheep to state the month when the exhibits were lambed if requested. No implements or machinery can be removed from their section during the exhibition. All exhibits must be in their places on the ground at the appointed times. Every care will be taken of exhibits, but no responsibility will be incurred by the Society. The Society will not be responsible for any accident that may be caused through or by any exhibit, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Society harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from such accident. In the event of any exhibitor openly questioning and/or criticising the decision of the Judges or the Committee or the exhibitors, the Committee shall have the power to withdraw all or any such offender in any section and any prize money won by such offender may be forfeited. The Committee shall have the power to require statutory declarations to be made concerning any animals or article exhibited. The Committee may at any time for such reasons as may seem sufficient to it, waive an individual case, or generally, compliance with the regulations or may extend or vary the times for doing anything fixed by the regulations or the prizes schedule, either in individual cases, or generally. In compiling this schedule all care has been taken, but no responsibility will be incurred by the Society for omissions or misprints.
