3 State President s Report Thomas Jack Shirey Membership Chairman s Report Mike Delio March, 2016 Hello Brothers and Sisters: On Sunday March 6 th, Jan, Mike and I started out our visits to District #15. Our first stop was to Bellefonte Aerie #4320. We were met by bar manager Bonnie, bartender Taylor and off-duty bartender Josie. They gave us a tour of the building and after visiting a while we left for Renovo Aerie #516. We were met by President Doug, Trustees Nancy, Jim, Don, Tom and Lee. They showed us a lot next door that they are planning to buy for parking which should help their business a lot. They presented me with a check for $ for my Charity. We had lunch there and were on our way. We went to Lock Haven Aerie #4298 and were met by District #15 Director Todd Kreidler, Past President Ron, Vice-President JoAnn, Trustee Gale and bartender Sherry. At the present time they are renting part of their building and are making plans to purchase the whole building. That will give them a lot more space. I have since received a check for $ for my Charity from them. Then we were off to Williamsport Aerie #970 and were met by PA State Outside Guard Eric Hoover who is also the Aerie President, Aerie Secretary Carla Hoover, Trustee Scott, Bob and Outside Guard Walter. Eric gave us a tour of their building which they are remodeling with all volunteer help. They have already moved the kitchen from the basement to the first floor. They have a huge building and plan to have it all remodeled by May, 2017 when they host the State Pool Tournament. I think this is great that the members are volunteering their time to save the Aerie money. They presented me with a check for $ Then we were on to Burnham Aerie #4294 and were met by President Chris, Vice-President Rusty, Trustees Mike, Steve, Russ, Lori and Bonnie, Treasurer Kelly and Secretary Kathy. I can see why Burnham is #1 in the State and #4 in the nation. They have a very nice building and the place was packed. Secretary Kathy had some questions about the MMS system and hope that I helped her. I have received a check from them for $ for my Charity. Thank you to District #15 for your hospitality and donations for my Charity. On March 19 th, Jan, Becky, Mike and I started our visit to District #3. Our first stop was New Castle Aerie #455. We were met by Past Madam Presidents Karen Bush and Joanne Mitchell, President Ted, Vice-President Vigil, Past President Jim, Secretary Bruce and bartender Kitty. We visited for a while and was presented with a check for $ for my Charity. We then went to Ellwood City Aerie #1246. We were met by Trustees Paul and Robby and Secretary Christy. We visited for a

4 while then were on to Ambridge Aerie #1365. We were met by Trustee Timmy, Joe and Judy Vanyo, bartender Marjorie, and District #3 Director Louis Peronis who traveled with us on this tour and he is also the Secretary of this Aerie. I received a check for $2 for my Cancer Charity. Then off to Freedom Aerie #1429. President Tom, Treasurer Sue, Past Secretary Joe and bartender Debbie were there to greet us. I was presented with a check for $ for my Charity. We went on to Rochester Aerie #1226 where we were met by President Jim, Trustees Dean and Beth, Treasurer Nancy and Secretary Karen. We had a couple of beverages and left for New Brighton Aerie #1342. We were greeted by President Pat Sullivan, Trustees John Young, and Mike Berger, Treasurer Dianne Young, Chaplain Carol Morrell, PWP Rich Morrell and PWP Gary Singleton. New Brighton is also the home of PA State Chaplain Clint Slima. Clint gave us a tour of the Aerie. I was presented with a check for $6 for my Charity. After a few beverages we left for home. Mike and I would like to thank Clint, Lou, Carol and Rich for traveling with us on our tour of District #3 and all the members of District #3 for the hospitality and donations for my Charity. My goal for new and reenrolled members is As of March 1 st we have We still now need That is 409 members a month for March, April and May. Mike and I are certain that with your help we will make that goal. Sign at least one member to be eligible to win a Ford Mustang. The more members you sign the more chances you have to win. Please consider having a fundraiser for the Cancer Fund at your Aerie this year.
