3 State President s Report H. James Hinderliter Membership Chairman s Report January 2017 Hello Brothers and Sisters' On January 21st. I attended the District #2 meeting hosted by Reynoldsville #540. The meeting was opened by Aerie President, he welcomed everyone then turned the meeting over to District director, who introduced the guest speakers. Jack Shirey- Health report of all districts. Mike Delio- Pa. skill games. Jim Hinderliter- Membership of District. Don Lumadue-NOTHING TO SAY! Talked about all Charities: Cancer, Diabetes, Children s Fund, And the Golden Age Fund. I received Checks for My Cancer Fund from the following Aeries: Punxsutawney #1231- $ Reynoldsville #540 - $1, Brookville #983 - $1, Clearfield # 812 -$2, Thank you so much, this will help to find a cure for this terrible disease., Also I was given Checks from Brookville # 983 for the following Funds. Children s Fund-$1, Max Bear Heart Fund- $1, Golden Eagle Fund - $1, Robert Hanson Diabetes Fund- $1, Thanks So Much. After the Meeting, Great meal of Spaghetti and Meatballs. Thanked everyone once more and head ed home, in the rain and fog. My Membership Chairman (Rick Clinger) could not join me this time. He was working in Kentucky for the week. 9 2018 PA. STATE CONVENTION The 2018 State Convention will be held June 7 9, 2018 at the Eisenhower Hotel, 2634 Emmitsburg Road, Gettysburg, Pa Phone number: In our continued efforts to protect our members personal & credit card information the State Aerie will no longer be using the reservation forms for the sleeping rooms. All reservations are to be made directly to the hotel at the above number. Be sure to mention the Fraternal Order of Eagles Block to get the room rate. The rate is $ plus tax per night. The hotel is accepting reservations now!!!! The State Aerie will still be assigning the Hospitality Rooms as in the past and the information to obtain one of the Hospitality Rooms will be in the February Newsletter. Hospitality Rooms are NOT sleeping rooms!!! Convention Registration packets will be mailed out mid -February. You are urged to take advantage of pre-registration. It makes thing go much smoother at the Convention and will save you a few dollars. Please get your delegates approved at your Aerie meeting and get them preregistered. ***** Urge all Aerie members to ask for their rooms to be on the Eisenhower side of hotel that is where the Aerie Meetings will be held if you wish to be closer to them. 41 Mason-Dixon Conference April 6 & 7, 2018 Hosted by Frederick, MD # East Patrick St Frederick, MD We are looking forward to another exciting year for the Mason Dixon Conference. This year s guests of honor are Grand Worthy President-Elect Carl Burnett from Clovis, New Mexico #3245 and Grand Madam President- Elect Althea Lane from Folsom, California #929. The dates are Friday April 6 & Saturday April 7, Mark your calendars for these dates and come out to meet and greet our next Grand Worthy President & Grand Madam President. The hours for this Mason Dixon Conference will be Friday April 6 th beginning approx. 2:00 PM (or as people arrive). On Saturday April 7 th we will resume fund raising at 9:00 AM and will continue throughout the day, with the exception of breaking long enough for our annual meeting starting at 11:00 am. Kitchen menu will be available. The conference casual dress and totally smoke free DONATIONS NEEDED!!!!! As in the past on these two days, we do what Eagles do best having fun and promoting our motto, People Helping People. As always, we need DONATIONS!!!
