2 CONFERENCE NOTIFICATION LETTER TO: ALL AFSCME LOCALS OF DELAWARE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES COUNCIL 81 Delaware Public Employees Council 81 AFSCME is pleased to announce its first Next Wave Conference to be held from Wednesday, November 20, 2013 through Friday, November 22, 2013 at the. Room rates and pertinent information are enclosed. Reservations are to be made through the Atlantic Sands. We recommend that you make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure the availability of your accommodations. There will be interesting sessions and panel discussions with local speakers and speakers from AFSCME International. The purpose of the conference is to bring about an awareness of AFSCME, Council 81, your local and how each of these operate in bringing about AFSCME International s goals of social and economic justice and the improvement and betterment of our members and working women and men locally, statewide and nationwide to our members 35 years old and younger. We are training for the Next Wave in Delaware! The proposed schedule is as follows: Registration and a Continental Breakfast will begin at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 and the Conference will commence at 10:00 a.m. A Welcome Reception will be held on Wednesday evening, November 20, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Banquet including a Cocktail Hour and Dancing will be held on Thursday evening, November 21, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Atlantic Sands Hotel.
