// PRESIDENT S REPORT // FROM THE EDITOR Hi Everyone, Well time has gone very quickly since Xmas. I hope you have all been able to get plenty of riding in with the weather not being too hot.

Hopefully we will be able to get more practice in throughout the year with the ball, the bridge and the black hole!

Our Official Combined Training Day in March will be on us very quickly, we need help once again - penciling, canteen etc. and donations for the raffle.

A great opportunity to ride at our day followed by TTT (you can t lose!). Please contact Leanne for entry to TTT.

The Christmas break up was a lot of fun, thank you to Sally for organizing the handy mount course. Hopefully we will be able to get more practice in throughout the year with the ball, the bridge and the black hole!!!!! Congratulations to Martina for her amazing effort in getting around the course in record time, no wonder she does well in cross country! Our Official Combined Training Day in March will be on us very quickly, we need help once again - penciling, canteen etc. and donations for the raffle. Check our Facebook page or the Website on Thursday Night prior to rally for your riding time/s MAXIMUM OF TWO SESSIONS The committee has set a maximum of two sessions per rider, one dressage and one jumping or other activity. This is necessary to keep numbers in sessions at a reasonable level. We aim for a maximum of four riders per session in dressage. The scheduled program is subject to change if circumstances warrant and additional sessions may be added. 4 // AND SHOW JUMPING CLINIC With Adam Wootten SUNDAY 1ST FEBRUARY AT THE CLUB GROUNDS Adam Wootten has been in the showjumping industry for over 20 years during which time he has travelled the world competing and training. He has spent trained and competed in Canada, New Zealand and Europe and spent time in the United States under the tuition of legendary coach, George Morris. Adam assists many leading showjumpers and eventers with their training and is also currently coaching the EA Young Rider Showjumping Squad, the Jumping Ahead Training Group and is used as Showjumping coach to the SOF/YR Eventing Squad. He is N.C.A.S. qualified. We will also be offering flat sessions. Adam s flat work sessions focus on rhythm, balance, suppleness and control. The flat sessions using ground poles are a refreshing change for horse and rider and are highly recommended, particularly if you want to dabble in a bit of jumping down the track. For sponsorship queries please contact sponsorship@bullaadultriding club.com.au 15th & 16th March 2014 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: This event is open to members of clubs affiliated with the HRCAV and will be conducted under HRCAV rules and regulations. Riders must fulfill qualifying requirements as per event rule 39. All Teams must supply one volunteer helper for approx 4 hours. Teams that do not provide a helper will be eliminated. If balloting of teams is required, it will be done as per HRCAV TTT balloting rules. All riders must present valid Membership, Dressage and Combined Training performance cards prior to riding. Failure to do so will mean you will have to ride HC. Refer Event Rule 8 (Amended Jan 2012). Clubs may enter teams of 3 or 4 riders. Clubs unable to field a complete team/s, may enter 1 or 2 riders from their club. These riders must meet the requirements of event rule and supply one volunteer helper and pro rata team fee. The OC will place these riders in a composite team. Clubs entering a team of 3 riders may request they be placed with a rider from another club to form a composite team. The composite team to be determined by the organizing committee. Riders must present for gear check at least 20 minutes prior to each phase. Approved helmets and boots must be worn at all times whilst mounted. No late entries will be accepted. Competitors must supply their own bridle or saddlecloth numbers for show jumping and dressage phases. There will be no refunds after closing date unless accompanied by a medical or veterinary certificate to be received by the Event Secretary within 5 days of scratching. 25% of the entry fee will be retained to cover the cost of facility fees and medical levies. Protest must be lodged within 30 minutes of posting of interim results and must be accompanied by a $20 deposit. Disputes regarding team placings must be accompanied by a refundable fee of $20. The Ground Jury s decision is final. No secondary protest can be entered. Competitors must ride at their assessed level for Combined Training. BARC does not accept any liability for accidents, damage, injury, illness or loss to any person/horse/property. Random swabbing may occur. The organizers reserve the right to cancel any class or competition; to divide any class; to alter the advertised times, to refuse entry with or without stating the reason. Dogs must be on lead at all times. Prizes must be collected, no prizes will be mailed. Prizes as per event rules 25, 40.9 and Temporary yards permitted as per HRCAV event rule 22. Proposed time table: Saturday: level 2-5, Sunday: level 1-5 Above timetable is proposed only, changes to the above format may be required for timetabling purposes.
