1 From our President Kim Jackson Welcome to Omega Netball Club for 2018! Omega Netball Club has 18 teams this season containing 166 players making us the second biggest club in the Association. It is so exciting to see Omega Netball Club continue to be a strong club in the Kingston and District Netball Association. We warmly welcome all of our new players as well as those returning in It is fantastic to be playing and training on the brand new courts at Dales Park. We thank everyone for getting on board with the new on-line registration system we are using. Spring 2017 was a very successful season for Omega. We finished up with 3 grand final wins in Open Section 2 with Omega Blue, 17/U Section 2 with Omega Jets and 15/U A2 with Omega Hurricanes. Congratulations to all of the girls in those teams and their coaches Natalie Caltabiano/Wayne Edwards, Kim Jackson and Simon Klose. We also had 2 runnersup in Open Section 1 with Omega White and 15/U B2 with Omega Sonics. A big congratulations and thanks to all of our coaches and players on an awesome effort during the Spring Season of On Sunday March 4 th our Open White team competed in the STKC Energetics Pre- Season Tournament and after losing only one game during the day made the Grand Final and were runners up in the Ladies B competition. We particularly thank all of our coaches who give up their time and put in lots of effort to coach all of the girls. We warmly welcome new coaches for Gen O Meara is coaching the 11/U Sparks and Karen Gorman 17/U Lightning. We welcome back Olivia Brown to coaching our 15/U Cyclones team and welcome our two new junior coaches Amy McClure and Megan Pask, who are working alongside our coaches with our 11/U teams. We have had sponsorship renewals from Brighton Toyota & Bentleigh RSL (of $1000) for 2018 and enter our second of a 3 year sponsorship with Chemist Warehouse of $1000 per year. Any money that we can raise through fundraising and sponsorships enables the club to provide our teams with equipment and coaches with training. It also helps us to fund our Presentation Day at the end of the year for all the girls. If you ever have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact anyone on the committee. I look forward to watching our girls play this season and enjoying friendship, having fun and improving their fitness.

7 OTHER NEWS CONGRATULATIONS SUNDAY 4 TH MARCH - Omega s Open White team attended the Open Tournament held by St Kilda City Football Netball Club at the SDNA courts. The girls players 10 games of hard, fast, body on body netball. Loosing just one match. Making it through to the finals, winning the 1 st final, but just going down against Dingley FNC in the Grand Final receiving runners up of the Ladies B Open division.
