1 From Our President Kim Jackson Feb 2016 Welcome everyone to Omega Netball Club for 2016! It is very exciting to have 35 new players join us this season, 20 of these are new s and to have 7 players returning to the club. We warmly welcome all of you. We also welcome 5 fantastic new coaches to our coaching team, Georgie Smith, Amanda King, Kerryn Lindsay, Natalie Caltabiano and Andrea Vienet and a new junior coach Emma Yue. It was so fantastic to see everyone back training at our first training session night, even though it was pretty hot. And it was extra nice to end off with a cold icy-pole. In Spring Season 2015 Omega had one grand final win in U15A1 with Omega Lightning and two runners-up in Open B with Omega Maroon and U15B2 with Omega Hurricanes. Congratulations to these teams and their coaches Jenny Donnelly, Wayne Edwards and Annie O Keefe. Omega continues to grow and in the Autumn 2016 season we have 21 teams, the largest number of teams in the history of the club. We are the only club this season with 3 teams in Net Set Go Go. All of the girls have now taken part in training sessions and played with their team for Autumn 2016.Teams were placed in the grades they are now playing in by Kingston District Netball 2017.Association. During the first three rounds teams are monitored to make sure this is correct Our Premium Sponsor and changes made if necessary. Fixtures are available on the Kingston District website at If your team s grade changes the coach will let you know and the fixtures will be updated on the website accordingly. If you ever have any questions, concerns or suggestions please bring them straight to the committee by ing the Secretary, Deb Jemmeson at omeganetball@gmail.com. I look forward to watching the girls play this season and enjoying friendship, having fun and improving their fitness. Our Premium Sponsor!

9 THANK YOU TO OUR OUTGOING COACHES Allan was a parent at Omega for a number of years before stepping up as coach and committee member. Allan always showed commitment and dedication to his team and Omega Netball Club. Allan is still a very supportive and passionate parent with our club, thank you Alan for your past and ongoing support. Kayla has been with Omega since she started in. Kayla has always been dedicated to Omega, first as an assistant and then taking the reins as a junior coach. Thank you for your organised and passionate approach! Kayla still plays in our open team. Taya joined Omega a few seasons ago as a coach. Taya coached a number of teams for us over this time and has been an asset to the club. Thank you Taya for the skills you brought to our players. Murray has been associated with coaching netball for over 40 years and associated with Omega Netball Club since In this time assisting U13, U15, U17 teams, Coached the Open Blue team for the past 10 seasons taking the Open Blue team to the final series every seasons with 4 runners-up and 1 premiership. He has assisted many of the coaches in his time at Omega sharing his skills and knowledge of coaching which has been appreciated by many new and experienced coaches Murray was instrumental in writing a coaches manual for Omega. He assisted KDNA in 2012, bringing in a fairer way of teams being re-graded into a lower or higher sections after the re-grading period of up to week 5, working on the ruling of average points for % carry over for teams moving sections. This has now been in place for a number of years to ensure all teams across all clubs had a fair opportunity to make finals.
