5 FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2015 RGVSPORTS.COM 5 Roma ISD Salutes Roma High School's Superwoman Kassandra K. Rocha Known as Roma High School s very own superwoman, Kassandra K. Rocha has become an athletic legend and role model for other young women at Roma High School and across the Roma Independent School District. It s a great feeling to know that what I m doing, what I ve accomplished can inspire other young girls because they can do anything they want if they stay focused, said Rocha. I also hope I ve taught my younger peers to always stay humble and stay focused on learning. I play many sports because I gain skills in each sport that help me with another sport, Rocha explained. I also love the fellowship sports ofers - you build great friendships and I ve really enjoyed that. But also, I m not the type of person that can sit around; I want to be active and I believe in keeping my mind and body active as much as possible - it s just who I am. When I graduate I plan to study kinesiology and math at either Texas A&M University International in Laredo or Texas A&M University at Kingsville, she said in conclusion. I hope to become a coach and teach math right here at Roma High School one day so I can continue sharing my skills and abilities with my community.
