Amendments to the Society By-Laws require a 75% majority. The total number of eligible votes in attendance is 70. Amendments to the Society By-Laws require a vote of 75% which equals 53 votes

2 Adoption of Agenda: MOTION: M/S (Christine Steeves/Harold Bloomenthal) to adopt the VIAHA AGM Agenda of May 25 th, 2014 as presented. Adoption of Previous Meeting Minutes: MOTION: M/S (Patrick Devereaux /Christine Steeves) to adopt the Minutes of the 2013 VIAHA AGM held May 5 th, 2013 held in Nanaimo, BC. Financial Report Charlotte Johnson VIAHA Executive Director presented the Year End financial statement (Notice to Reader) dated March 31st, MOTION: M/S (Christine Steeves /Meghan Mills) to accept the unaudited financial Statements (Notice to Reader) for the year ending March 31 st 2014 as presented.

3 MOTION: M/S (Marline Sandferd/Angie Williams) to waive the requirement for an audit (By-Law 11, Paragraph 93) of the financials. The proposed budget was presented for discussion. MOTION: M/S (Al Walker/Erin Egeland) to accept the Proposed balanced Operating Budget as presented. Old Business: No Old Business items New Business: Endorse BC Hockey District Director: BC Hockey District Director (VI): Deborah Turney MOTION: M/S (Christine Steeves/Angie Williams) That VIAHA supports Deborah Turney pending BC Hockey elections or appointments. Break for Lunch: 12.14pm Presentation of VIAHA Awards: Official of the Year: Presented by Stephane Rainville - Awarded to Sebastian Craig of Peninsula MHA. Most Deserving Official of the Year: Presented by Stephane Rainville - Awarded to Terry Wasiliew Comox Valley MHA. Coach of the Year: Presented by Kristen Arnold - Awarded to Roger Chamberlain of VIAHA Regional A Female President s Award: Presented by Jim Humphrey - Awarded to Kathy Irving of Cowichan Valley MHA. Association of the Year: Presented by Jim Humphrey - Awarded to Juan de Fuca MHA Scholarships: Marline Sandferd Scholarship Chair announced the following successful recipients: North Island Austin Phillips of Powell River MHA Mid Island Giordano Corlazzoli of Alberni Valley MHA South Island Quinton MacDonell of Sooke MHA Certificates were presented & congratulatory letters were provided to the corresponding MHA President to give to the recipients as soon as possible - or if not too late at their graduation ceremonies. Summer Officiating School Scholarship: Stephane Rainville announced the following successful recipients: Recipients were Brett Henri (Campbell River), Gillian Cherris-Kelly (Saanich), and Jaidyn Twamley (Oceanside) Bid farewell to Guests Resolutions to By-Laws and Regulations: Chaired by Jim Humphrey, VIAHA President MOTION: For the purposes of this portion of the meeting Cory Manton will move and Angie Williams will second each resolution to get them on the floor for discussion.

Charlotte Johnson, Executive Director to out new Committee/Workgroup Structure. BCH District Coach Coordinator Jim Weicker spoke about the up-coming changes to coach clinics and the introduction of the High Performance Certification requirements for Bantam T1 Coaches. Elections: Jim Humphrey stood down as the President and passed the chair to Chris Atchison to chair the elections. The 2014 VIAHA Nomination Report produced the following names received for the various positions: Officers Positions: President Jim Humphrey VP North None VP South Steve Moir VP Mid Island Dan Payne VP Island League Marline Sandferd Chris reminded those present of the newly adopted resolution that in order to be elected a candidate had to receive 50% +1 of the votes.
