3 Changes Laws f the Game Majr re-write this year

4 Law 1 The Field Artificial and natural surfaces may nt be cmbined Cmpetitins may determine the size f the field (within the limits f Law 1) Cmmercial advertising must be at least 1 yd frm the bundary lines Crner flags my have lgs, but nt advertising

6 Law 3 Players A DFK (r PK) if a substitute/team fficial/sent f player interferes with play If smething, r smene (ther than a player) tuches a ball ging int the gal, the referee can award the gal if the ball ges int the gal and the tuch had n impact n the defenders

7 Law 4 Player s Equipment Tape, r any ther material n/cvering scks, must be the same clr as the scks Undershrts must be the same clr as the shrts r hem, and the team must all wear the same clr

8 Law 5 Referee Directin is prvided n hw t addressing tw ffenses happening at same time Disciplinary sanctin (RC befre YC) DFK mre serius than IFK Physical ful mre serius than nn-physical (handball) Tactical impact If a player is injured, and the ppnent gets a YC r RC, the player can be assessed/treated n the field and des nt have t leave

13 Law 10 Kicks frm the Mark Use a cin tss t decide what end t kick at (unless there is a safety reasn t chse an end) Use a cin tss t decide wh kicks first

14 Law 11 Offside The halfway line is nw neutral A player standing inside the gal may be called fr ffside if they try t distract the GK r a defender

15 Law 12 Fuls and Miscnduct Any ful that invlves cntact is a DFK restart If the referee plays advantage n a RC ffense and the player gets invlved in active play, the restart is an IFK Attempted Vilent Cnduct is a RC even if n cntact is made Striking t the head r face is n lnger a RC if the cntact is minimal r negligible

16 Law 12 Fuls and Miscnduct An ffense n the field against substitutes, team fficials, r match fficials in nw a DFK A ful ff the field, that ccurs as part f nrmal play, is nw a DFK (r PK) frm the bundary line nearest where the ffense ccurred

17 Law 12 DGSO Handling Where a player denies the ppsing team a gal r an bvius gal-scring pprtunity by a deliberate handball ffense the player is sent ff wherever the ffense ccurs.

18 Law 12 DGSO Fuls Where a player cmmits an DGSO ffense within their wn penalty area and the referee awards a penalty kick, the ffending player is cautined unless: The ffense is hlding, pulling r pushing r The ffending player des nt attempt t play the ball r there is n pssibility fr the player making the challenge t play the ball r The ffense is ne which is punishable by a red card wherever it ccurs n the field f play (e.g. serius ful play, vilent cnduct etc..) In all the abve circumstances the player is sent ff.

19 Law 13 Free Kicks The ball is in play when it is kicked and clearly mves (unless the restart is in the team s wn penalty area, in which case the ball is in play when it leaves the penalty area) A player wh prevents a FK frm being taken quickly, must be cautined If a player intercepts a quick free kick, the referee shall allw play t cntinue (meaning the ball is kicked directly t the ppnent)

20 Law 14 Penalty Kick The penalty kick must still mve frward If the GK infringes and the PK is missed/retaken, the GK is nw cautined

21 Law 15 Thrw In If an ppnent mves within 2 yards f the thrwer t impede the thrw, they are cautined fr UB If the thrw is taken, the restart is an IFK

22 Law 16 Gal Kick A gal kick that ges directly int yur wn gal is nw a CK fr the ppnents, if the ball left the penalty area If the ball des nt leave the penalty area, the restart is a GK If an ppnent is in the penalty area at the time a GK is taken, they cannt play the ball befre it is tuched by anther player
