Our continuous support to hold the event of the marathon every year is built on our believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle and enabling ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Sharkar Bin Haji Shamsudin, SSAP., SIMP., DSAP., DIMP CHAIRMAN OF STATE TOURISM AND CULTURE COMMITTEE Welcome to the Run Out Pahang Marathon We are very proud to see that marathon industry has grown up to become Malaysia s most anticipated running event, attracting more than 35,000 runners from over 50 countries including Malaysia. Our continuous support to hold the event of the marathon every year is built on our believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle and enabling ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Whether as a runner, volunteer or donor, people from all walks of life can be a part of this phenomenal race. In the conjunction of Visit Pahang 2017, we are holding a lot of events to promote Pahang to the tourists either from Malaysia or international. A part of the events is Run Out Pahang Marathon 2018 which is organized by Monkey Theory. This event was previously known as Kuantan Half Marathon. We are estimating the participation of 5,000 participants from over 10 countries. There are 4 categories to be contested in this event. Those 4 categories are 42KM, 21KM, 10KM and 5KM. Run Out Pahang Marathon 2018 is expected to attract more tourists to come to Pahang. In 2016, the number of tourist coming to Pahang was recorded by 12.8 million showing the increment from the previous year which was only recorded to the tune of 10.5 million tourists. Specifically in Kuantan, it was recorded that there number of 1.8 million tourists. In conjunction of Visit Pahang 2017, we are expecting the attendance of tourists by 15 million. My sincere thanks to our partners, officials, and community for making Run Out Pahang Marathon 2018 possible again. Once a year, we get this opportunity to experience the city of Kuantan in a different light. I hope you will enjoy every minute of your run and good luck! 01

3 Welcome Remarks by Leong Delon CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF MONKEY THEORY SDN BHD Welcome to the Run Out Pahang Marathon First of all I would like to express my utmost and sincerest gratitude to the supporters, sponsors, partners and my beloved team members whom have been very supportive for the past five years since our very first running event in year At Monkey Theory, our team members are empowered to be bold in determination, innovation and inspired to bring positivity influences to the society today. Back in 2013, our first running event was getting done but it was far away from being team members are empowered to be bold in determination, a successful one since there were only 2 members back then. If you are good in management and communication, you take on the external factors. If you are good in planning and calculation, you take on the internal factors together with the account. However, we live by the rules of perseverance, being passionate and determination in Monkey Theory family which leads us to successfully organized some of the finest World Class Events such as Slide The City, Run For Your Lives and Million Dollar Feet. 24 BAGGAGE FACILITIES RULES & REGULATIONS BAGGAGE 1. Only one (1) piece of baggage is allowed per runner on a First-Come-First-Served basis. 2. Runners may deposit baggage at counter upon arrival. 3. All baggage must be collected before 11.00AM on race day only. 4. Please do not deposit any valuable items. The organizer will not be responsible and liable for any loss or damage of the baggage stored. TIMING CHIPS 1. To ensure correct timing is recorded, runners are encouraged to wear the running bib visibily on the chest of running vest. 2. Do not cover the bib number with hands or jacket when crossing the mat at the start. Split or finishing line. (These mats receive the signal directly from your bib tag by direct line of sight) 3. Do not place anything in between your bib number and the mat. 4. Do not fold or crumple your running bib, especially not the bib tag. 5. Use four safety pins to secure running bib in place and do not pierce the bib tag. 6. Do not remove the foam spacer as it is requred to gie you accurate time. 22
