Beginning at 8pm until 11pm a pre-tournament social for all players, coaches, & officials will be held in the GRAND COLONADE BALLROOM, right next to the south foyer check in area. The 8 sport courts will be available to practice on any time after 10am on Friday morning until 8pm Friday night. Please contact Dave Saenz at DSaenz3@hotmail.com for practice reservation. Divisions must meet the minimum number of entries set by the Regional Commissioners in order to be held. Regional Commissioners should approve a team for a classification consistent with their current season s placement within their organization. The Regional Commissioners Executive has the responsibility to ensure that a team meets eligibility requirements to participate at a given level before signing a team s roster. The housing provision will be for 2 officials per room. If you wish to bring a spouse, 1/2 room rate will be charged. Regions need to their teams received to the MICHIANA REGION Office on Friday, April 23rd, michianavb@comcast.net PLAYING RULES: 1. Uniforms of the same color are required for all players. Jersey numbers must be from 1-99 inclusive with no duplicate numbers. Front numbers must be 4 and back numbers 6 or more and of contrasting colors. 2. The Rule-of-Two will apply. This rule allows teams to pick up two players from another team in their own region that is not participating in the Zonal Championships. These players must be from the same or lower playing level as the team on which they participate at the Zonal Championships. Additional: A registered USAV member from another Region who has not played on any team in that Region may be added to a team. Regional Commissioners should verify with the other Region that the player is of the same or lower playing level. French Lick Springs Resort and Spa 3. Official United States Volleyball Rules - Modified Indoor will be used AWARDS: Individual awards will be presented for the top finishers of all divisions. Team Awards will be presented to Champions and Runner-ups in all divisions. Additional awards will be presented based on the number of entries in each division. OFFICIALS: USAV certified First Referees will be provided for all pool and play-off matches. Each team is required to provide a trained second referee, two lines people, a trained scorekeeper, and visual scorekeeper to help with tracking the libero.
