7 Walking Through the Dew The coolness of the summer dew Sitting idly on the horizon The vast expanse of this clear view Is leaving me speechless The oak tree from afar standing proud With the greenest leaves imaginable Protecting me from the dazzling dawn Which is about to rise and engulf my life The rabbits playing majestically on top of the hill Celebrating the rising sun soon to come Chasing one and other round and round Like on a merry-go-round As I walk towards the hill to see the sun rise My shoes are sodden right through to my skin The view from the hill will be of the countryside Which I adore more and more The curvature of the land to the streams flowing freely To the cattle roaming through the fields looking for hay Smoke bellowing from the farmer s chimney And the tractors marauding across the landscape How I love these beautiful country mornings Which allows me to witness nature s morning celebrations The journey back home is worth every hour If only to walk in the morning dew 2018 Club Officer Directory President: Dick Baker dickbkr@q.com Vice President: Ed Hainline, opahainlin49@gmail.com Treasurer: Jim Wolf jimwolf@frontier.com Secretary: Debbie Esmond, Esmondd1@hotmail.com Membership Manager, Cheri Stone Cstone8175@msn.com M@L Asst.
