Passenger revenues in the first half grew 9.4 percent to 22.8 billion pesos, as increased flights drove traffic 8.2 percent higher to 9.2 million passengers, it said. Cargo revenues grew 11.4 percent to 1.6 billion pesos. The group generally records higher domestic revenue in January, March, April, May and December as festivals and school holidays in the Philippines increase seat load factors, the company told the stock exchange in a disclosure. 3 SUNDAY, AUGUST 16, Kenneth Abendano crowned Miss OFW Movement 2015 By Ben Garcia KUWAIT: For her admirable talent, gorgeous smile, wit, grace, composure and strong self-confidence in front of the judges and invited guests, Kenneth Abendano of Club Ilonggo in Kuwait bagged the 2015 Miss OFW Movement beauty title, organized by the OFW Movement for Peace, Justice and Progress (FPJPI) Kuwait Chapter, held at Swiss Bell Plaza Hotel, Kuwait City last Friday. Kenneth bested eight other contenders represented by various OFW organizations in Kuwait and also won the Best in Talent and Best Intro awards. The event was hosted by Gerzon (Etino) De Guzman, Raymond Recamadas and Reza Jope. Although first runner-up Nheriedel Biagtan of Maniniyot in Kuwait bagged most of the minor titles (Best in Gown, Sportswear, Casual Wear and Most Photogenic), she ran short of getting the top title for lack of consistency. I see her beauty empowering, she has talent too, she looked fresh, but I think what happened was that she lacked consistency, unlike the winner Miss Kenneth, said one of the members of the six-panel judge. However, with due respect to her, she s really beautiful and probably one more year, she ll get it, she s still young. Every contender demonstrated their best, they were really good, said the judge. LBC People s Choice Award also went to Nheriedel Biagtan. The second runner-up title went to Charismaine Montejo of OFW Movement Kuwait Chapter, third runner-up title to Irene Marasigan of OFW Sharing Love Foundation and fourth runner-up title to Ma. Cecile Dela Cruz of The Journey OFW Friendship. The nine beauty contenders were judged based on their casual wear (15 percent) sportswear (15 percent), talent (20 percent), gown (15 percent), beauty (15 percent) and intelligence (Q&A) (20 percent). Just before the formal opening ceremony, attendees were allowed to register for the Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV), wherein a special corner was set at the venue for the mobile registration.
