SIDEWALK DAYS 2018 PIE ACTION July 7 Once again we will be having a pie auction at WE NEED YOUR HELP! Sidewalk Days will be held July 5-7 this year.

We are looking for volunteers for a number of areas: Sidewalk Days. We are asking for pie or tart BBQ Cooks Runners donations.

Last year the auction was a huge success! Lets Cashier Order Takers As you can imagine this is a very busy time at the Centre, and we depend on our volunteers to make it a success.

2 SIDEWALK DAYS 2018 PIE ACTION July 7 Once again we will be having a pie auction at WE NEED YOUR HELP! Sidewalk Days will be held July 5-7 this year. Once again the Moose Jaw & District Seniors Association will be having a food booth and Nevada booth set up for all three days. We are looking for volunteers for a number of areas: Sidewalk Days. We are asking for pie or tart BBQ Cooks Runners donations. If you would like to donate a pie or some tarts to auction, please add your name to the sign up sheet at the front desk and then drop them off Friday July 6th. This year it will be July We don t have all the details yet, but expect it to be an exciting time. If you are interested in taking part, be sure to watch for posters over the next while. Page 4

We have tried cleaning the upholstery, but it never lasts long. So we are thrilled to have the donation!

So, we are having a VIRTUAL CHAIR FUNDRAISER to raise funds to replace the remainder of the chairs in the Café. A donation of $100.

5 VIRTUAL CHAIR CAMPAIGN As you may recall from the June Newsletter, We received a donation from the Legion Poppy Fund to purchase new chairs for the Café. The chairs we currently have are in rough shape. Many have been welded over and over again. The fabric is dirty and worn. We have tried cleaning the upholstery, but it never lasts long. So we are thrilled to have the donation! The money will cover the cost of purchasing just over half of what we need for chairs in the Café. So, we are having a VIRTUAL CHAIR FUNDRAISER to raise funds to replace the remainder of the chairs in the Café. A donation of $ will go towards purchasing one chair. The chair will be the property of the T.E. Café and your name will be placed on a plaque recognizing your gift. If you would like to purchase a Virtual Chair, please see the front desk. Page 5

6 Are you looking for something to do on Friday s? Then Timothy Eaton s is the place to come! Every Friday we have a Jam Session at 9:00 a.m. in the XYZ. Bring a friend and come out and enjoy some great music and dancing. Each week a group of dedicated volunteers warm up their instruments and voices and treat us to an enjoyable morning of music and singing. Hope to see you there! Page 6

NEW PROGRAM FLOOR CURLING We recently received a grant to start a new FLOOR CURLING PROGRAM. Marie Wright (Olympic medalist) has agreed to come in and lead the program. If you are interested in joining the program, please sign the signup sheet on the bulletin board. Starting dates will be announced once we have all the equipment. ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER We are always happy to hear that we are doing things right. This recently came from one of our customers thanking us for the great service they received. Good job everyone! Hi Lori, Now that everything has settled down for us, I wanted to thank you for all of your assistance and flexibility in assisting with the details for Yvonne's retirement party. Your patience through a couple of meetings and several s was appreciated. We had 108 people attend and everything was very comfortable. The set up in both the hall and the cafe worked well. The volunteers did a good job of setting out snacks in the hall and then the lunch in the cafe, and getting leftovers ready for us to take home. We were able to enjoy our evening much more knowing we could walk in and walk out, and not have to be concerned about the details. We would certainly recommend the hall and your services to others!
