Along with the weather, all the fun activities and events are in full swing for the season. Our wonderful PTO will be hosting our Fall Carnival and Trunk or Treat tomorrow, October 28, from 3-8pm. It will be held in the back parking lot of the school, by the playground area and courtyard. Trunk or Treat begins at 6:30. Hope to see all of you there! Next week, on Tuesday, October 31, the 8 th grade class will be having a bake sale at lunch and those students, who donate $2.00 to the Devin Goudie fund, will be able to wear their Halloween costume to school. Please see attached form and send to school by Monday, October 30. Please read the requirements, as props and makeup will not be allowed. November will also be a very busy month. School Mass will be on Wednesday, Nov. 1 for All Saint s Day. Please join us if you are able. Stay current with all activities by reading our Newsletter and Calendar of events. Thank you all too, who helped and participated in our auction perk, with painting pumpkins. The kids had a great time and created some cute pumpkin faces. WHAT: An opportunity for your child to wear their Halloween Costume to School WHEN: Wednesday, October 31 COST: WHY: RULES: $2.00 due with form no later than, Monday, October 30th Your $2.00 accomplishes 2 things. It gives your child a fun day at school and it benefits the Devin Goudie Education Enrichment Fund. This fund subsidizes or pays for field trips, author visits and special presentations (Windy City Players, Opera in a Box, etc.) for the SPX School Students. Please make sure your child s costume follows these guidelines: No accessories, as it is a regular school day. Please leave swords, fairy wands, guns, broomsticks, etc. at home. No gruesome or gory make-up. (No blood, no hatchet heads, etc.) Please keep in mind that there are children of all ages at the school. Costumes must be constructed as to allow your child to participate in PE, sit and work at their desk as well as travel through the hallways. School shoes must be worn Please be sure your child is using good judgment and adheres to the rules in this event! Failure to do so may result in your child being sent home and could prevent future events such as this from taking place Please complete and place this form along with your $2.00 (cash or check payable to Devin Goudie Fund) in an envelope. Pours and S mores is an annual fundraiser to help The Pines Catholic Camp continue to bring youth across the country together for a week of fun while making new friends and growing closer to the Lord. Pours and S mores is a great opportunity to connect with alumni, new staff, camper families, and supporters of The Pines mission. The night will be one to remember, full of fellowship and a chance to reminisce of good times out at The Pines and look forward to the future of the camp.
