RHP Julio Teheran has won his last three decisions over San Diego in Atlanta, compiling a 3.46 ERA (10 ER/26.0 IP) over the four-game stretch...the righty dropped an 11-4 on June 4 in San Diego, going 4.0 innings and allowing four runs, earned, before leaving with a thumb injury that landed him on the disabled list the next day. ROSTER MOVE: The Braves today signed RHP Luke Jackson to a major league contract after optioning LHP Luiz Gohara to the Stripers postgame yesterday. Jackson is set for his fourth stint with the Braves this season...he has appeared in four games at the major league level this season, compiling a 5.06 ERA (3 ER/5.1 IP) and no decisions. THE ROTATION: LHP Sean Newcomb tossed 6.0 shutout inning yesterday, and over the Braves last 10 home games, dating to May 30, the starting rotation owns a 1.09 ERA (8 ER/66.0 IP)...No starter has allowed more than two runs over this streak. The rotation is 5-1 over these 10 games, having allowed 34 hits and 10 walks to hold the opposition to a.432 OPS...They are using 13.3 pitches per inning over the nine games... FREEMAN: 1B Freddie Freeman finished 1-for-3 with a single yesterday, and has now hit safely in 26 of his last 27 games, dating to May 19...Freeman is hitting.377 (40-for-106) over the stretch, with a.651 slugging percentage and a.436 on-base percentage. Freeman has also hit in 10 straight, going 16-for-37 (.432) with six home runs, four doubles and a OPS over the streak that dates to June 5. He is the only player in the N.L. with two doubledigit hit streaks this season...freeman hit in a league-high 16 consecutive games, May 19-June 3.
