Rookie RHP Mike Soroka is set for his second start against the Mets and his first start overall since going to the 10-day disabled list on May 17, retroactive May 14, with a right shoulder strain... Soroka beat the Mets with 6.0 innings in his MLB debut on May 1 at Citi Field. RHP Jacob degrom is set for his fourth start against the Braves this season...the righty has allowed just one run over 18.0 innings (0.50 ERA) against the Braves so far this season, but has no decisions...for his career, degrom owns a 1.84 ERA (18 ER/88.0 IP) in 14 games against Atlanta. GRAND SLAM: 2B Ozzie Albies hit a 1-1, sixthinning pitch out to right field last night for his second career grand slam (also, May 10 at Miami off Drew Steckenrider) Albies became the first Braves player with multiple grand slams in a season since 2012, when Brian McCann also had two. Albies is just the second second baseman in Atlanta franchise history with two grand slams in a season, joining Davey Johnson, who had two in 1973 He became the first player 21-years-old or younger to hit multiple grand slams in a season since 2000, when Adrián Beltré hit two for Los Angeles (NL). Since the end of World War II, seven other players hit multiple grand slams in a season at 21 or younger: Mickey Mantle (1952), Faye Throneberry (1952), Eddie Mathews (1953), Tony Conigliaro (1965), Ken Griffey Jr. (1991), Alex Rodríguez (1996) and Beltre (2000). VS. THE N.L. EAST: The Braves are (.650) against the N.L. East this season, and the club s 40 games against division rivals are the most interdivision games any MLB team has played so far this season. FREEMAN: 1B Freddie Freeman finished 1-for-2 with two walks and a home run last night, and has now hit safely in 22 of his last 23 games, dating to May Freeman is hitting.380 (35-for-92) over the stretch, with a.620 slugging percentage and a.441 on-base percentage. Freeman leads the league with a.341 batting average, a.434 on-base percentage and a.579 slugging percentage. STOLEN BASES: OF Ender Inciarte swiped two bases last night and now leads the majors with 20 steals this season...the Braves rank third in the National League with 42 stolen bases. Inciarte is just the ninth Braves player in Atlanta franchise history to reach 20 steals prior to the All- Star break and the first since Michael Bourn had 25 in Inciarte is two steals shy of his career-high total set last season. AT SUNTRUST: Since losing a season-high four consecutive home games, May 4-May 15, the Braves have gone 9-4 in Atlanta, while compiling a 3.02 ERA (41 ER/122.0 IP).
