With Friday night's victory, the Braves tied the Atlanta-era, single-season record for most wins over Philadelphia...The 2012 team also won 12 games...they have now won at least 11 games over Philadelphia in six of the last seven years; they went 6-13 against the Phillies last season. RHP Kevin Gausman is set to face Philadelphia for the third time this season and for the second time in a Braves uniform...the righty allowed three runs, earned, and five hits, but was left with a nodecision in an 8-3 win on September 20...That game was the opener of a four-game series sweep over Philadelphia that helped the Braves clinch the National League East. Acuña Jr. is looking to become the first rookie to lead Braves outright in home runs since 1943, when Chuck Workman hit 10 for the Boston Braves. Workman, a 28-year-old rookie, was the only player who hit double-digit homers for the Braves that season, as the club finished with 39 total home runs. HITS: 1B Freddie Freeman is tied for the major league lead with a career-high 191 hits...kansas City's Whit Merrifield also has 191. Freeman is trying to become the first Braves player to lead the majors in total hits since 1968, when Felipe Alou had 210 to tie Cincinnati's Pete Rose for the most. The last Braves player to lead the majors outright in hits was Alou, who had 218 in The last Braves player to lead the National League in hits was Terry Pendleton, who had 199 in 1992 to tie Pittsburgh s Andy Van Slyke for the most in the league...the last Braves player to lead outright was Pendelton (187) in ON THE ROAD: The Braves collected their 47th win of the season away from SunTrust Park Friday night, and have the best road record in the National League at (.588).
