BRENTZ BLASTS DOGS TO DOUBLEHEADER SWEEP OF CATS: GAME 1: Bryce Brentz hit two home runs and collected four RBI, in the Sea Dogs doubleheader sweep of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Portland trailed the Cats 3-1 heading into the bottom of the 7 th but Brentz and Dan Butler hit back-to-back homers to tie the game and send it into extra innings Reynaldo Rodriguez hit a leadoff triple to begin the eighth and Brentz brought him, and the win, home with a single to right Chris Carpenter started the game for the Sea Dogs and continued his MLB Rehab stint He tossed the first two innings and allowed a run Chris Balcom-Miller and Chorye Spoone gave up a run over six combined innings of relief GAME 2: Bryce Brentz delievered a two-run shot in the bottom of the third to put the Dogs up 3-1 They would go on to win by that same margin Jeremy Kehrt snapped a personal threegame losing streak with five strong innings..he allowed just one run. MONTHLY DAP: The Boston Red Sox have awarded RHP Brock Huntzinger with Minor League Pitcher of the Month honors and OF Jeremy Hazelbaker with Minor League Base Runner of the Month honors for the month of June Zinger went 1-0, 2SVs 1.80 ERA in 9 games in June Hazelbaker hit.284 with 5 HR, 22 RBI, 6 2B with 9 walks and 7 stolen bases.
