26 Stakeholder Concerns Funeral parking Concern Double parking in front of playground Impacts to parking/traffic during TD Garden events Worried about parking removal Possible to limit parking impacts with a hybrid option of a cycle track and a bicycle lane What about Segway's on sidewalks Segway's and bicyclists using Christopher Columbus Park Response No impacts to the funeral home are expected as a result of this project Two travel lanes in the NB direction will be maintained No traffic modifications will occur between North Washington Street and Charter Street as part of this project The City is working to replace any on-street parking removed in other areas of the neighborhood This conceptual design was previously presented The City is working on policy to address the issue. Segway's will be permitted to use the bicycle facilities. The City is working with to address the issue. This project will create a safe space within the roadway for these users. MBTA/Trolley buses Bus stops will be maintained Bicyclists will yield to buses and passengers loading and unloading Still working on detailed designs with BTD Loading/Valet activity Loading and valet activity will be maintained Bicyclists will yield to loading Still working on detailed designs with BTD What about the hazardous truck route? Remove cycle track during winter months The City is still working on the hazardous truck route issue. The design is being coordinated with the truck route issue. It will be costly to remove and replace the facility on an annual basis
