1 The Metro Atlanta Cycling Club s 12th Annual One Love Century Sponsorship Opportunity The MACC One Love Century: Georgia s most diverse, fun, fast and successful bicycling event of the year 2017 In 2005 the Metro Atlanta Cycling Club (MACC) created the One Love Century as a way to contribute to our community by supporting programs that build and sustain youth cycling opportunities in metro Atlanta. Simultaneously, we wanted to create a bicycling event that appealed to cyclists of all backgrounds, and provided the kind of customer service driven experience that we wanted ourselves. Quite simply, we wanted MACC to put on the best cycling event of the year. Now, to take the event to another level, MACC is seeking Sponsors that: Understand our focus on producing the very best cycling experience for our 800+ participants; Wish to partner with MACC in supporting the beneficiary organizations from One Love Century surpluses, and Are interested in building long-term bonds between MACC, our beneficiary community, and our participants.

According to the National Association of Sporting Goods Retailers, Cycling is the second most popular recreational activity in the United States. 4 The Beneficiaries Proceeds from the MACC One Love Century go to charitable organizations that promote and advance inner-city youth cycling opportunities. The BRAG Dream Team was founded in 1994 by the Bicycle Ride Across Georgia with the goal of giving kids from low income households the chance to ride across the state on a bicycle and own that bicycle when they finished. Working with adult mentors and coaches, the program still does BRAG each year, but has also rode the route of the Underground Railroad, and from the King Center in Atlanta to the King Memorial in Washington, DC. The One Love Century was created to provide a source of funding for the Dream Team. The East Atlanta Kids Club is a nonprofit mentoring and enrichment program for children ages 7 to 17 who live in southeast Atlanta. EAKC provides a safe and nurturing environment where kids can play, relax, learn, create, and express themselves under supervision of caring adults. The DLV Youth Cycling League can be seen on the track at the Dick Lane Velodrome in East Point. DLV's Youth Cycling League was started in 2003 as a way to provide programming for youth and young cyclists in the local East Point area. DLV runs over 50 sessions each year with total youth participation in the program at around WeCycle Atlanta is a community bike shop and bicycle advocacy organization based out of the Historic Westside community of Atlanta. In July 2011 the organization was formed to serve the surrounding community by highlighting and promoting the health, economic, and environmental benefits that comes with incorporating cycling recreationally or as a life sustaining practice. Sopo Bicycle Cooperative creates equitable access to cycling by providing affordable bicycle maintenance, services and education. And the shop provides a central forum for sharing equipment, materials, and expertise, and facilitates affordable, practical, hands-on support for cyclists of all ages and skill levels. Cycles and Change believes that cycling can be a catalyst for change, one person, one family, one school, and one community at a time and that access to such a powerful tool should be available regardless of race, gender, religion or financial position. The organization operates programs in schools and community centers to reach at-risk kids, and provides outreach to women cyclists with beginner classes, welcoming groups rides, and in founding Women Bike Atlanta. All of this work is focused through partnerships with churches and community outreach organizations.

5 The Experience Rider Raves and Reviews What a great ride! I am new to cycling, and I couldn't believe how much fun 62 mi. could be! I signed up and rode with a friend, but I really felt as though I was with 100+ friends! Also, the snacks were yummy!!! I will keep this one on my calendar for years to come. Deb With over 800 cyclists participating in the 2016 ride, the MACC One Love Century continues to grow, and the positive response by our participants reflects MACC s focus on excellence and our attention to detail. The ride starts and ends at Stonewall Tell Elementary School in Fulton County, GA. I never, ever thought that you could talk me into riding my bike even 43 miles.but I did 61 miles!! Now I ride my bike all of the time, and even became a member of MACC in It s a great club, and I am proud to be a volunteer for the One Love now. And you know the best thing? The food. Salted tomatoes, watermelon, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, dill pickles, and best of all the Jamaican patties. Natalie I enjoyed the One Love Century and have nothing but good things to say about the route, rest stops, sag vehicles, post ride food and entertainment! You guys do it right!! Options include 16, 27, 41, 63, and 100 mile rides. Route traverses gently rolling terrain in South Fulton County, Rico, Palmetto and Coweta County. These popular roads are knows as Silk Sheets among local riders, and riders are likely to count more horses than cars, and with a rolling terrain the miles Thanks, Butch Stroupe It was a wonderful ride! Volunteers were great and very enthusiastic-food was really good and plentiful and the course was very enjoyable with low traffic. Janet Pilling just slide by. The ride is organized and put on by the members of the Metro Atlanta Cycling Club, as a labor of love and a gift back to the cycling community and it has raised more than $110,000 in gifts to some great organizations. In 2016 more than 50 MACC members put in hundreds of volunteer hours to create one of the most loved and respected cycling events in the Southeast. Moreover its reputation goes far and wide, with cyclists attending from a dozen states, and as far away as Oregon and California. MACC is a predominately African-American club founded in the memory of Major Marshall Taylor the first African American World Champion in any sport. The mission of the club is to increase cycling in the black community and improve health for all of the people we touch with our rides, outreach, and service.
