2 Hello Everyone! We are very close to the big day and really looking forward to it. We like to avoid as much confusion as possible so please find attached the backstage dressing room assignment and map of the backstage area. Look for your dancer's change room and read through if they are in several dances, as they may be listed in more than one. Most of these dancers have established their 'home' backstage from previous shows and know where to go. All dancers enter & exit through the south backstage doors. Nancy and others will be there to direct you to your change room. Rehearsal Hall (look on map below) - only used for Scene 1A Dancers only in Scene 1A - please bring your dancer in their costume upstairs to the 'Rehearsal Hall' this is a very large open room where the teachers meet up with their groups and take them down to the backstage area when we are ready to begin on Show night. (Same for dress rehearsal) Dancers who are in Scene 1A with more than 1 dance Drop off your change of costume to your assigned change room and then go directly to the Rehearsal Hall to meet up with your 1 st dance class. After your first dance you would then go to your assigned change room for all other costume changes. Parents of little dancers only in Scene 1A (Dress Rehearsal)- you will watch the dress rehearsal from the audience, when your child is finished their dance they will walk down the stage stairs into the audience for you to take them home. Please have them back to the Rehearsal Hall by 5:15. You can stay with them there until the teacher has arrived to supervise, then you can take your seat in the audience. Dancers in Scene 2 only Dancers only in Scene 2 - These dancers can be in the audience watching the performance with a purchased ticket until Intermission. Then you can bring your dancer backstage at the beginning of Intermission take them to their change room to meet their teacher (in costume and makeup all ready to dance). If you have not purchased a ticket for them to watch Scene 1, then they wait in their change room until their dance. Show Night - Picking up dancers from Rehearsal Hall After Scene 1A there is a 10 minute 'pause'. Parents can then go through the green room doors (exit doors down at the front left of the audience) to cut through the backstage area and go up to the Rehearsal Hall to collect your dancer and either go home or hopefully go back into the audience to watch the performance. We request the following; + Please only send ONE parent to pick up your child in the rehearsal hall + Please be quick as we need to continue on with the performance and need the Rehearsal Hall empty + Have flower presentations and photos done in the lobby after you have collected your dancer, not in the rehearsal hall + Dancers in Scene 1A who are going back into the audience will need a ticket Don't worry we will remind you of all of this at the beginning of the show :-) Award Presentations We will be doing award presentations as usual at the end of the evening. The evening will be finished around 9:15. Please let us know if you have any questions to further clarify the day s events. Thank-you and enjoy the day!

3 Dress Rehearsal This is the stage rehearsal for all students at the Jubilee Auditorium. Students need to be in costume, makeup is not required. This rehearsal is for the technicians to set the lighting and sound, and for the students to become familiar with the stage. Please arrive at the times noted and enter the Jubilee through the South (backstage) entrance. Parents need to pick up their child backstage after their rehearsal also through this entrance. Intermediate and advanced dancers who wish to stay backstage between dress rehearsal and show time may bring snacks and dinner to have in their change room. 6 DRESSING ROOM ASSIGNMENTS Rehearsal Room Used for Scene 1A only (parent drop off and pick up) This room is for young dancers up to level 2 who are mostly in one dance and do not need a change room. Please come in costume, hair and makeup ready to dance at 11:00 (Dress Rehearsal) & 5:15pm (Show). Your teacher will meet you in the Rehearsal Room. Other young dancers up to level 2 who are in more than one dance and need a change room, leave their belongings in the Wardrobe room and then meet their teacher in the Rehearsal room (already in their first costume). After scene 1A is finished they then use the Wardrobe room. This is the same procedure for dress rehearsal and show.
