2 COMPETITON NOTES (MUST READ) This is a 2 DAY competition for NON PREP TEAMS. It is a 1 DAY competition for PREP TEAMS. You have assigned teams that you will have to stay and watch to cheer them on. If you are in the arena, you need to be down up front cheering for any ACE team performing. Prep teams are scored 100% Day 1 Non-Prep teams are scored 25% Day 1 / 75% Day 2 We will take team pictures immediately following awards. If time and space permits, we'll do it on stage. If not, we will go to the Arena Entrance (by the meet point) and take pictures outside. Reminder: All families must check-out with their Team Reps. FYI: Brisbane AS XENON IOC5 is a team from Australia that we are hosting in our gym next week as we prepare for The Cheerleading World Championships. If you can get there early or stay late to help support them, we would truly appreciate it. They've come a LONG way and hosting them here is a great opportunity for our kids to meet athletes from around the world. We are looking forward to an exciting weekend!! Doors open 7:00am Parking- Parking is available at the Arena. Parking is FREE. Entry Fee - ASSUME CASH ONLY; They make take cards; Spectator Admission ages 4 & up: 1 day $20 2 day $30 Check in - Meet at the designated meet point. Please look at the convention center diagram (attached) for the location. You are required to check in with your team rep (in person) at check in. Check out - Parents and athletes are REQUIRED to check out (IN PERSON) with your team rep after awards. Do not call or text to check out. Concessions - Concessions will be open and they usually don't check for outside food or beverages. Please have cash available for concessions. We can t guarantee a healthy and nutritious choice for your family, as we do not control the food service. If your family has a strict diet, please bring food according to your family diet and leave in car for access. Is there a parent/fan area? There is a parent viewing area for the teams competing! Diamond has reserved the front rows for the competing team s fans wherever possible, ensuring a great seat for our spectators. Parents, if available, please wear ACE shirts or wear Red/Black/Yellow let s show our colors to support ACE teams!!!! Merchandise - Not sure if any merchandise will be available at the venue. Please have cash/credit cards available for merchandise if you want to purchase items. Athlete Admission - Athletes will need to be IN UNIFORM in order to pass freely through the entrance of the event.
3 Athletes Dress - Uniform/Competition Bow/Cheer shoes/ace Program Shirt Remember to arrive dressed and ready. All hair, makeup and dress are to be completed. You must be in complete uniform at all times. ACE has a specific image we portray. NO Jewelry. NO Nail polish. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will wear your NEW BLACK ACE Program Shirt when you arrive; around the venue and for awards. Parents Dress - ACE color/themed Apparel Hair - Athlete s hair is to be in a high ponytail with ACE Competition Bow. As always please ensure there are no fly aways or whispies coming toward faces. No other look is allowed. ACE presents a clean, professional look with a high pony. Team reps are prepared to redo hair if it is not to standards. Make up - Make up should be classic looking. Look Pretty!!! We do not want to look washed out under bright lights. Video/photos - Family members are allowed to video and photograph their child s or friends performance as long as it is done from their seat and in an unobtrusive or non-distracting manner. It is expected that this video or photo is for personal use and, therefore, professional type equipment, videoing or photographing multiple performances, (i.e. an entire division, or every team from a gym) are not allowed. Practice Area - Only athletes and credentialed coaches will be allowed access into the Practice Area. USASF has strict guidelines for approved background checked personnel only in warmups. Teams need to check in for the Practice Area at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled practice time. Water will be available for the athletes at designated water stations before and after their warm up rotation. We also ask that you do not bring any bags or extra items that can cause clutter inside the Practice Area. Social Media - You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
