Competition Notes: Saturday scoring is 25% Sunday scoring is 75% NOTE: Athletes receive tickets to the Disney World Resort Park. If parents wish to attend, you must purchase separate park tickets. SATURDAY BE ON TIME!! It s a large venue and large competition. Plan your travel to the venue accordingly. Athletes must CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT with your Team Rep. 2 COMPETITION MEMO General Admission: $25 Admission fee per day. If you are only going to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, you may purchase a ticket at the door for $25 per day per person. However, if you purchase a Walt Disney World PARK HOPPER ticket from the IASC it includes admission into the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. There is a 3-day PARK HOPPER Ticket- $ available from Varsity. If you d like to purchase them, Please let me know ASAP. If you plan on going to any of the the Walt Disney World parks, it IS more cost effective to purchase Florida Resident Park Passes from WDW and separate WWOS tickets. Click HERE to check out the Florida Resident Pass prices. Parents that pre-ordered through UCA will pick up their pass at Celebrity Hall at the ALL Star Resort in Orlando, FL when they arrive. If you missed pre-ordering tickets, UCA will sell park hoppers at Celebrity Hall in the Extra Ticket Sales area at the All-Star Resort. However, please note that if they run out of a certain day of park hoppers (i.e.: 3 days) you may have to purchase a 4 day or higher pass. UCA only gets an allotted amount from Disney for extra ticket sells. **If parents go through UCA all their park hoppers include 3-5 days into any traditional Disney Park (Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot) it also has 3 days built in for passes into ESPN Wide World of Sports. Parking: Parking at the DWWOS is free. VIP parking area for a fee is available, but parents usually find parking in the free lots. The Atlanta Braves Spring Training games will both days during the competition. Expect traffic and parking to be backed up. Please plan accordingly. Doors Open: Doors to the competition on Saturday and Sunday will open at 8:00AM with the competition beginning at 9:00AM. Sessions for your athlete - Every athlete that isn t in warm up or performing should be up front cheering for other ACE teams. Please take a look at the schedule to plan your day. Is there a parent/fan area - There is a parent fan area where parents and fans can get an up close view of routines. However, it is not right up front it is right in front of the judging panel riser. Please pack it out and make it loud! Parents, if available, please wear ACE shirts or wear Red/Black/Yellow let s show our colors to support ACE teams!!!! Sign Out You are required to sign with your team rep. Please remember to meet your team rep after your awards. Video Cameras - Parents ARE NOT allowed to video routines. Photographer - LARGE personal cameras are not allowed in the DWWOS. Small cameras and cell phone cameras are allowed. Universal Event Photography will be available to purchase photos. Acceptable Outerwear - You are required to wear your warm-up to awards. Based on the weather, we will make a determination if you have to wear it during the day. Expect the HP Field House to be pretty cool/cold. Social Media: Please keep up with Twitter/Instagram/Facebook for any updates over the weekend. Please use hashtag #GoTribe for any Twitter updates. 6 Wyndham Buena Vista Resort 1850 Hotel Plaza Blvd, Lake Buena Vista, FL Upon arrival at the Hotel you will check in at the front desk. You will need to give them a credit card for room incidentals/unpaid charges. Please remember that many hotels hold a small charge on your debit cards to ensure payments. Verify this policy at the hotel if you plan to use a debit card for incidentals. Upon check-in you will receive a red wristband (if on the Competition Travel Package)- wristbands will be needed in order to use Competition Travel transportation to venue Self Parking is $ % voucher to be used on the property Where to eat if you are staying at Wyndham Buena Vista Resort: There are several restaurants on the property and other choices nearby. Across the street at Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) there are some inexpensive alternatives for meals. Gooding's Supermarket and many restaurants are also located less than a mile down Hotel Plaza Blvd on Vineland Rd. Goodings will also deliver to the hotel for a small charge. Practice Schedule: Teams will have practice at the Buena Vista Palace hotel at the White Tent by Conference Center near Self Parking. - Wyndham Buena Vista Resort is next door to Buena Vista Palace and walkable! Please check with your gym for practice times. Athletes are only allowed to practice during their designated team practice time. o Friday March 11th White Tent by Conference Center near Self Parking o Saturday March 12th White Tent by Conference Center near Self Parking COMPETITION TRAVEL TRANSPORTATION to Venue from Wyndham Buena Vista Resort Competition Days (Saturday, Sunday) Transportation: Wide World of Sports- All buses will leave from the Buena Vista Palace Convention Center by the White Tent, which is next door to Wyndham Buena Vista Resort. You will walk to Buena Vista Palace to catch buses to the venue. They will pick up and drop off in the same place every time. Should the pickup location at Wide World of Sports change - due to the baseball games - we will advise on our Facebook page. Please make sure that you have liked us to receive up to date information over the weekend. LOOK FOR THE YELLOW COMPETITION TRAVEL SIGN IN THE WINDOW. Buses will loop continuously throughout the day. There will not be a set schedule. Please make sure that you allow yourself ample time. o Saturday: 6:30am to 10:30pm o Sunday: 6:30am to 11:30pm Other information We are sharing buses with other gyms so please be mindful of this. Athletes and coaches should always take priority on the bus. We have ample buses running over this event so everyone will have plenty of time to get to the venue All buses pick up at the venue at the same spot that passengers are dropped off, provided Disney or Wide World of Sports employees do not change the travel pattern. Should something change we will

7 advise you on our Facebook page. There are a lot of buses at this venue, be sure to look for the Yellow Competition Travel signs in the window of the bus. Please be sure to give yourself ample time, we suggest an 1 hour or 1 ½ hours before your desired/scheduled arrival time. Baseball games - Saturday - 5:55pm - Please allow extra time to get to Wide World of Sports due to this game. Traffic will start getting bad around 3:00pm ALL Spectators must have a wristband to ride the Competition Travel buses to and from the event. Athletes in uniform will not be required to wear a wristband, however, should your athlete want to go and watch, please put the wristband on their lanyard. These wristbands will be handed out at check in. The front desk will only give these wristbands to the individuals that are part of our package. For Disney Park transportation Wyndham Buena Vista Resort - (Not Competition Travel transportation): Buses depart for all parks approximately every 30 minutes and do their best to stay on the half hour. They start one hour before the parks open and will run up to an hour past park's closing time. These buses service all Downtown Disney Hotels. They will drop you off in the parking lot of each park and pick you up in the same location. Please pick-up information at the Hotel regarding this service.
