Parent Notes This year, MTTD will be held in the BJCC Theater. Due to seating limitations, ACE is asking that parents attend their session only. This will ensure all parents will be able to watch their child perform. If you choose to watch another session, please be mindful that other parents would like to see their children perform as well. Please give up seats if your child is not performing during the session. Each team is released to head home immediately after their session concludes. 2 COMPETITION MEMO Our first event of the season is here and we couldn t be more excited! Let s pack the Birmingham Convention Center Concert Hall and show everyone what a first class program we have at ACE. If you have any questions or need to communicate to a coach/athlete the entire weekend please go to the ACE info desk. It will be located just out front lobby of the arena Uniform - Cheerleaders must arrive at the BJCC in complete uniform. This is not waiverable. ACE Cheer Co. has a specific image that we have to represent. Acceptable Outerwear - You are required to wear your warm-up suit at all times. You will give your warm-up suit to your parents when we leave to go to warm-ups or put them in your backpack.. If you are a new athlete, your warm-up suit will not arrive before Meet the Tribe. If you do not have a warm-up suit yet, please wear the following: Black Athletic Pants: Small or No logo only (No PINK or JUICY type large logos) ACE Color Athletic Top: Any ACE hoodie or an ACE color (Black/Red/Yellow) hoodie or jacket with small or no logos only. (No large PINK or JUICY type logos) General Admission: Admission is free of charge Parking: There is free parking along the outer limits of the Birmingham Convention Center but be prepared with cash to pay for parking if necessary. Usually $8.00-$20.00 ** Please notate that the Christmas Village is scheduled for the same time as MTTD. Thus, parking will be very busy. Doors Open: Doors will open at 8:30am; the event begins at 10:00am. Entry Fee: Cost for spectators at this event is FREE! Sessions for your athlete:- Every athlete that isn t in warm up or performing should be up front cheering for other ACE teams. Please take a look at the schedule AND which arena you need to make it to. Plan your day carefully. Is there a parent/fan area - There is a parent fan area where parents and fans can get an up close view of routines. You are highly encouraged to pack it out and make it loud! Parents, if available, please wear ACE shirts or wear Red/Black/Yellow let s show our colors to support ACE teams!!!! NEW FOR 2015: The first 4 rows are for fans and parents but are not reserved seating. If you choose to go to the front to watch, we are treating the front area as the mosh pit. You have to stand and cheer and go crazy to be in those first 4 rows. No ipads or videotaping from that area. You can sit further back and record all you want, but the front is for cheering our athletes as they perform to keep the energy level high.

3 Athletes Dress - Remember you arrive dressed and ready. All hair, makeup and dress are to be completed. At all times you are to have on athletic shoes/cheer/dance shoes. NO Jewelry. NO EXCEPTIONS. Hair - Hair is to be in a high ponytail with ACE Bow. Your hair can be straight or curled but must be pretty and fixed. As always please ensure there are no fly aways or whispies coming toward faces. NO GLITTER!!! Make up - Make up should be classic All-American looking. Look Pretty!!! We do not want to look washed out under bright lights. NO GLITTER!!!!! Sign In You are required to sign your athlete in with your team rep when you arrive at the BJCC Sign Out You are required to sign your athlete out with your team rep before your release time. Video Cameras - Parents ARE allowed to video routines. Photographs -Personal cameras are allowed in the BJCC.
