1 Newsletter 14 / 8 August 2018 OUR SUPER-HEROES TAKE TO THE STAGE The annual Mr & Miss Rand Park pageant took place on Saturday, 4 August in the school hall. Cara Meiring was crowned Miss Rand Park 2018 and Dylan Courtaillac was awarded the title of Mr Rand Park. The event is held annually to raise funds for the Matric Dance. The super-heroes theme made excellent on-stage and catwalk entertainment as contestants dressed in outfits that represented various super-heroes. Trystan Neville (Thor) received the prize for the best-dressed super-hero. See Facebook for all the photos. Pageant runners-up were Tashan Chetty (1 st Prince), Micah Forsythe (1 st Princess), Trystan Neville (2 nd Prince) and Samantha Thomas (2 nd Princess). Thank you too to Mr Lingens and Miss Shearing for emceeing and to all the behind-the-scenes learners, educators and sound crew who worked tirelessly to ensure that this fundraiser was fun-filled and successful.

6 EQUESTRIAN RESULTS Congratulations to all the Equestrian Riders who participated in last weekend s SANESA Regional Finals. Christina Koevort, Shanéce van Deventer, Amy Catsavis, Ame Johnson, Jaden Viljoen and Kaitlyn Koevort competed under extremely difficult conditions with strong winds and dust storms which made the horses excitable and difficult to handle.
