1 Dear Member, It has been a great start to the season with plenty of netball and new members, we are now up to 158 junior members, this is amazing for a programme that only started last year! Requests: Please read this newsletter, as well as keep up to date with our website and social media. Most queries I receive have already been answered and the information provided to you in some format. Please save my number so that you receive Broadcast Whatsapp Messages from me, a number of you will be missing out on information sent in this way (locations / last minute info re training etc): Please let your daughters coach know if they cannot attend training / games. Youth players should contact their coaches directly and take responsibility for this, U10, 12 and 14 parents please make contact. Congratulations! The first UAE U17 Netball Trials were held in September, 40 girls from across the UAE trialled and I am incredibly pleased to announce that Alienor Prevot was selected as part of the training squad and Briony Fowles as a training partner. ADNL is incredibly proud of both girls! It has now also been announced that the UAE is a full member of Netball Europe. This means an U17 Squad will participate in the European Championships in March.

2 Results: The Youth teams have had a fantastic start to the season in the grading weeks of ADNL, multiple wins and some close losses have been recorded. I am pleased to announce that each team will be in the following Division for the season: Youth A Div 1 Youth B Div 1 Youth C Div 2 Youth D Div 3 Youth E Div 3 We also had our first friendly games against Exiles on Friday October 6 th. These games were a great start to the season and there are plans for many more games as the season continues many clubs in Dubai didn t start training until the end of September so it has been hard to make any plans until now! U12 B v Exiles U12 A: 6 4 Win U12 C v Exiles U12 B: 11 5 Win U14 A v Exiles U14/16: Draw Youth A v Exiles U19 A: 47 7 Win These results are fantastic and all girls should be extrememly proud, I look forward to letting you know about the Dubai Desert Championships. Coaches: We have set up the programme this year with head coaches and coaches. The head coach will work with all coaches to ensure that a similar theme is running for each team each week. This ensures that all girls are improving their skills, but working on drills appropriate to their level. Head coaches will also assist with coach development and progression so that we are always providing the best we can for your daughter. The team managers will assist the coaches with confirmation of players for games as well as on game day provide general help and supervision.

4 Teams: Throughout the season coaches are watching the development and progression of all players, coaches across each age group will work together to ensure that if players need to change teams this is done as seamlessly as possible. If players do change teams they will be told at training and the website will be updated as necessary. Therefore if you are at all interested please speak to Lisa ASAP regarding this. If you do not want to do the 10day tour but would want to participate in a 5day tour to Disneyland Paris please also let us know. We will need to make a decision in the next couple of weeks regarding this and hope that we have as much interest and success as we did last year! UAENA (United Arab Emirates Netball Association): This is very exciting news for anyone involved in netball in the UAE. Not only will this provide the opportunity for players represent the UAE on the international stage, it means that we will have access to international resources, internationally qualified coaches, umpires, and selectors.
