2 NAME CLASS DANCE WORLD ACADEMY EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!! This class will be taking their Souvenir Group and Solo Photographs on: FRIDAY - JUNE 2ND SATURDAY JUNE 3RD at ST. BRENDAN S SCHOOL AUDITORIUM 154 EAST FIRST STREET (CORNER OF LAKEVIEW AVE & CROOKS AVE) CLIFTON, NJ (Directions on last page) At (time) PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO HAVE YOUR CHILD AT THE PHOTO SESSION because the photographs are an important memory of the 2017 year and are displayed in the studios. It is so nice to have a photograph of all the students in each class who have worked so hard together to make their dance a success. The group photographs are available for purchase on the day the photos are taken as well as at the Concert. The photographer has informed us that he absolutely cannot wait for late persons; he is on a tight schedule. To avoid any disappointments, please arrive early for your child s photograph. The assigned picture time is highlighted on the attached schedule. COSTUMES All costumes must be neatly pressed and assembled, as they will be for the Concert. In most cases, tights have been ordered for you. If tights should run, make sure you replace them with the same color. Tights are available at Capezio Outlet Rt. 23 South in Pompton Plains (next to Chuckie Cheese), at Center Stage Dancewear 525 Cedar Hill Ave in Wyckoff and at Kashe 473 Centre St. in Nutley. We have not made any special arrangements with these stores and therefore they may be out of the particular color that you need. Please do not wait until the last minute to try and buy them. Some stores can order tights if given ample time. HEADPIECES Make certain that all headpieces are secured tightly with flesh elastic. White elastic dyed in tea, or covered in foundation, turns a nice flesh color. Please DO NOT use clear elastic. Don t take any chances! Make your child shake his/her head up and down to be sure that the headpiece absolutely cannot come off! Nothing makes a child more nervous than a loose headpiece or looks more unprofessional than a headpiece that falls off in the middle of a dance. SHOES In order for our students to have that total professional look, the entire class must have the same color shoes. Tap and ballet shoes may be purchased in white, black or beige. If you do not wish to purchase them, you may spray paint your child s shoes the correct color with the specified brand below. The spray paint to buy for your child s class is KRYLON This paint is sometimes available at the following stores: AC Moore, Michael s, Kmart and Dubnoff Paint 873 Bloomfield Avenue Clifton, NJ HAIR: FRENCH BRAIDS WITH ENDS TUCKED IN AND NO BANGS PARENTS PREFERENCE

GIRLS: Foundation to match skin color RED lipstick (no pinks and no lip gloss) BLACK eyeliner Brown eye shadow (not blue) RED blush BLACK mascara (not brown) PLEASE NOTE: WEAR PERFORMANCE TIGHTS! ALL BALLET SLIPPERS MUST HAVE MATCHING ELASTIC SEWN ON. ALL TAP SHOES MUST ALSO HAVE ELASTICS SEWN ON INSTEAD OF THE RIBBONS. RIBBONS COME UNTIED! IMPORTANT: 1 -- Reminder: Please remember that any child who owes tuition, late fees, competition fees, costume fees, or any other outstanding Dance World bill will not be permitted to perform in the show!! 2 -- Please mark your child s name on all costumes, accessories and shoes Please check to be sure you have all costumes with ALL ACCESSORIES before leaving.
