2 This month we sailed over to Snug Harbor Marina, located at 103 Liberty Street in Marseilles, and met with the owner Craig Collier and his son Jesse. They took time out of their busy schedules to share the history of the harbor and provide updates on the removal of the sea wall installed by the Corp of Engineers after the flood in In 1988, Craig Collier and his wife, Patricia, moved to Marseilles to help with the family business known as Marseilles Marina. The marina included a bowling alley until 1983 when it burned down. They became owners in 1988 and named it Snug Harbor Marina. With their love for the river, they ve been continuing the family tradition for almost 30 years! The new venture in their lives became a hard working journey that brought years of satisfaction. They have met many great people that have travelled over land and water to visit the harbor. The memories they have with being on the river are priceless. With the flood in 2013 giving them more obstacles to overcome, they invited their son Jesse to move back home to help with the damage. It was at this time when Jesse became involved with the family business. He is excited about keeping the harbor going, and continuing the family tradition. During the summer, you can enjoy the Cabanna located outside. It is open Memorial Day thru Labor Day from Friday afternoon thru Sunday evening (weather permitting). They provide outdoor cooking with a menu including steaks, chops, mahi-mahi, ka-bobs, ribs, burgers, and other sandwiches. The sea wall has now been completely removed, and the Collier s have been working hard to get back to their normal operations. The Corp of Engineers will be replacing their parking lot and drive. It was badly torn up from all of the trucks using their place as a staging location for the installation and removal of the wall. Stay tuned for the new updates to be completed soon, and enjoy food and drinks with a picturesque view from the Snug Harbor Marina. On The Cover It s been awhile since we had a cover picture of the river from Snug Harbor Marina. In past issues, we had pictures before the sea wall was constructed and with the sea wall there. We are happy to showcase another picture after the removal of the wall. A fun place to enjoy the view of the river from Marseilles is back again! MTCO Communications 220 N. 3 Entertainment & Technology October TV Premieres Kevin (Probably) Saves the World (formerly The Gospel of Kevin) is coming to ABC with its series premiere on Tuesday, October 3rd at 9:00 p.m. Kevin Finn (Jason Ritter), a clueless selfserving person, is on a dangerous path to despair. In a downward spiral, Kevin returns home to stay with his widowed twin sister (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) and niece. On his first night there, an unlikely celestial being named Yvette (Kimberly Hébert Gregory) appears to him and presents him with a mission to save the world. In Season 8 of The Walking Dead (AMC), Rick brings All Out War to Negan and his forces. The Saviors are larger, betterequipped, and ruthless -- but Rick and the unified communities are fighting for the promise of a brighter future. The battle lines are drawn as they launch into a kinetic, action-packed offensive. The season premiers on October 22nd at 8:00 p.m. Michael Jackson s Halloween CBS is partnering with the Estate of Michael Jackson for Michael Jackson s Halloween, a hour-long animated special that will feature music from his extensive discography and an exciting voice cast. At print time CBS did not have a date and time scheduled. Check your local TV listings for broadcast times. ReStart TV Now on All Channels ReStart TV is now available on ALL digimax TV channels!
