2 A Student Council Project. SHOWING OUR SUPPORT FOR KAHN BRUCE Kahn was a Room 2 student here last year, leaving with his family to move to Rangitaiki (Napier Taupo Rd) last August. At the end of last week Kahn and his mother Susan were in a house fire that claimed the lives of three other people in their house Kahn s aunty, uncle and baby cousin. Kahn also lost all his toys, clothes etc in the terrible fire. We re going to raise as much money as we can by holding a MUFTI DAY TOMORROW. With the money raised we ll buy Kahn some nice new clothes and toys, to show we care and to let him know we re thinking of him. - Haana Kilmister & Ben Black (Head Boy/Girl, on behalf of the Student Council). This is a really valuable exercise for our students. Interested? Please complete the tear off slip attached. Thanks. Our Staffroom is Your Staffroom We know parents are at school a lot and we want you to be at school a lot! Whilst the staffroom needs to be just that at times a room for staff (to unwind and relax) most of the time it s sitting idly by.. and stocked with TEA & COFFEE!! So this is an open invitation When you are at school for whatever reason please feel invited to go to the staffroom & help yourself to a cuppa! E.g - dropping kids off in the morning and want to have a catch up with another parent? - Here early for an event or after an event (e.g. sports, assembly, class trip, etc)! - Here early at the end of the day? Drop into the staffroom for a relax and cuppa! Please just bear in mind a couple of little things. - School age children are not part of this invitation. - And, as with staff, please either wash dishes used or place in the dishwasher.
