Well I am icredibly proud that here at Belvoir our charity, the Belvoir Cricket & Coutryside Trust, is really doig somethig to ecourage our youg people to get active ad get ivolved i our woderful coutryside. As Patro of this woderful charity I am privileged to be a part of their future ad delighted that Darre ad his team cotiue to work hard ad deliver as much as they do. 3 2 I have ejoyed seeig their work this year ad have ejoyed hearig the stories of The Beech Academy goig to Lord s, which I kow Darre talks more about i his report, seeig the Facebook video of our houds visitig o a cricket ad coutryside day goig viral ad seeig hudreds ad hudreds of childre from the East Midlads come here to Belvoir Castle to meet our staff ad to see the woderful estate at Belvoir. It is a pleasure to share it with them. I kow the team are strivig to keep improvig their projects ad to icrease their umbers ad it is the support of our Trustees ad geerous voluteers that helps make it happe. But most of all we have some icredibly geerous supporters who help fud the charity ad I hope you ejoy seeig the icredible results. Darre ad his team are workig hard to try to re-develop the pavilio at the Kipto cricket groud ad I am delighted to help them with this. To have a ew facility i Kipto will be a tremedous boost to the area ad to all our local villages ad I wish them well with their plas. Fially, I would like to thak Coli Mayard from the MCC who retires this year. Coli has bee istrumetal i helpig build the relatioship with the Trust which is very valuable to us. 4 Chief Executive's Review 3 Records, Lord s ad Ambitio I do't thik I will ever get tired of writig well that was aother great year for the Belvoir Cricket & Coutryside Trust. It's bee a year of record umbers of childre comig through our various programmes ad this is great testimoy to our staff, our coaches, our voluteers ad our supporters. A icredible 2,824 childre have beefitted from quality coachig ad woderful coutryside learig experieces which ca oly be good i helpig them to prepare for their future. There have bee may highlights for me this year, otably our Assistat Director Neil Atkis filmig the arrival of the Belvoir Hut Houds o a visit to oe of our Cricket ad Coutryside days. O Facebook it has reached 98,973 people with 46,000 views, which just goes to show the power of social media Hollywood is his ext stop o doubt? But the real highlight was oe of our Special Needs schools, The Beech Academy i Masfield, takig part i our schools Table Cricket Touramet, makig it all the way to the Lord s fials ad havig the magical opportuity of treadig the turf at the Home of Cricket. After wiig our regioal touramet they progressed to wiig the Midlads fials thereby earig their ivitatio to Lord s. A overight stay, ew sposored kit ad they were off, performig brilliatly agaist the cream of atioal table cricketers. I am sure this is somethig that these childre with Special Needs will remember for the rest of their lives. We are very proud as a Trust to be able to provide this icredible opportuity, but it was the teachers ad childre who grabbed the chace with both hads. 5 4 As for ambitio, here at the Trust we strive each year to improve the quality of our programmes ad icrease our umbers. However, we are slightly restricted by our facilities at Kipto, our base. It is our aspiratio to raise 1.5 millio to redevelop these facilities ad build a ew pavilio ad idoor cetre which will become our home, a ew home for Belvoir Cricket Club ad a hub for our local commuity. We have a log way to go i this process but we are givig it a good go. Fially, it would be remiss of me ot to metio our staff. Neil Atkis, our Assistat Director, works tirelessly to deliver our work ad to Michael Cooke our Fudraisig Maager who provides huge support to help geerate the fudig we eed to allow us to get through the year. Our Chairma ad Trustees are hugely supportive ad we are blessed to have may voluteers, ad without these we would ot be where we are. Let's get ready for Darre Bickell, Chief Executive.

6 Special Needs Schools Programme 5 week kwik cricket ad table cricket coachig programme delivered i schools. Deliverig cotiued professioal developmet to eable teachers to use i their PE delivery. Itroduced childre to the games of kwik ad table cricket, givig them the opportuity to lear ew skills ad play o a regular basis. Provide a opportuity for competitive sport agaist other schools through a table cricket touramet held at the Lee Westwood Sports Cetre, Clifto Campus, Nottigham Tret Uiversity. 7 days at the Belvoir Estate to give schools the opportuity to brig their studets to visit the coutryside ad experiece ew activities otherwise uavailable to them. Childre lear from sports specialists; ECB Level 2 ad 3 coaches ad coutryside educatioalists from local people such as the hutsma, fishig ethusiasts ad the birds of prey keepers Outcomes Reached a total of 424 childre from 16 schools. Delivered the kwik cricket programme to 90 childre i 5 schools. Delivered the table cricket programme to 195 childre i 16 schools. 8 schools ad 75 childre took part i the 2017 table cricket touramet ru i cojuctio with Nottighamshire Couty Cricket Board. Ehaced schools' sports curriculum delivery ad provided CPD opportuities for school staff. Supported by the Lord s Taverers to deliver the table cricket sessios. 5 schools brought 64 childre to the Belvoir Estate o a Cricket ad Coutryside School Day. 7 6 Quotes from the schools: The childre have loved their sessios of cricket ad table cricket ad for some it has bee the highlight of ot oly their week but their school year! The childre we support ad educate have may differet eeds from profoud multiple disabilities up to high fuctioig ASD ad emotioal behaviour difficulties. The sessios have bee catered to the eeds of the childre ad all are able to participate i some way. For some childre learig is a big barrier to life but durig cricket sessios there were o barriers. The childre built up good relatioships with Tom the coach because he valued them, adapted the sessios for their eeds so they were able to succeed. These sessios have bee ejoyed by all our childre ad staff ad developed the skills of all who participated. Icrease the umber of schools visitig the Belvoir Estate to take part i a Cricket ad Coutryside Day to 8 schools.

8 Cricket ad Coutryside School Days 7 20 days o the Belvoir Estate givig schools the opportuity to brig their studets to take part i outdoor learig away from their ow eviromet. Childre lear from sports specialists; ECB Level 2 ad 3 coaches ad coutryside educatioalists from local people such as the farmer, woodma, gamekeeper, hutsma, gudog hadlers, fishig ethusiasts ad the birds of prey keepers. Givig the opportuity for rural ad ier city school childre to visit the coutryside. The days icluded 2 hours sports educatio ad 2½ hours of coutryside educatio. Teachig staff are give skills ad kowledge to develop their ow PE delivery, learig from highly qualified coachig professioals Outcomes 24 primary schools from Leicestershire, Nottighamshire ad Licolshire visited the Estate. 1,585 childre ad over 100 school staff atteded. 20 days took place, 2 were cacelled due to the rai but 1 was re-scheduled i September. Itroduced a Coutryside Learig Resource ito the schools that visited, eablig them to further develop their ow use of the day to ehace their delivery of the Natioal Curriculum. 9 8 Quotes from the schools The Cricket ad Coutryside day was a great opportuity for our childre to see what Eglish farms produce ad a fatastic, educatioal day for all.the childre particularly ejoyed the cricket activities ad were amazed by the bird of prey show! Work closely with the schools to develop our learig resources further for them to use followig their visit, ad to utilise the day's activities across their ow school's curriculum. Use the school days to promote exit routes for cotiued sports activity out of school hours promotig our Belvoir Bees juior cricket coachig programme. Work closely with the schools to ehace the educatioal ad lifestyle messages that are delivered. Where possible look to twi schools from differet backgrouds ad build ew relatioships (i.e. small rural schools with larger, multi-cultural ier city schools). Providig a opportuity for childre to participate i regular after-school sport, developig participatio at all levels of ability. Ecouragig ivolvemet of adult voluteers Outcomes 265 childre took part. 1,791 total attedace at the sessios. 130 hours of commuity coachig was provided. Oe ew veue at Barrowby Cricket Club alogside Asfordby, Hutigtower i Gratham, Hose, Great Dalby, Harlaxto ad Kipto. The sessios were supported by 21 local voluteers. 11 Teach Cricket Programme 3 week cricket coachig programme i rural ad small tow primary schools to ehace their PE curriculum. Deliverig a programme to develop childre's fudametal skills ad cricket skills. Deliverig CPD to eable primary teachers to coach cricket i schools. Cross curricular activities are provided icludig: - Mathematics (scorig, ru rates, strategy) - PSHE (rules, resposibility, teamwork, relatioships with oppositio, coaches ad etiquette) Outcomes 550 childre took part i the programme. Delivered the programme i 14 primary schools; 12 village ad 2 small tow schools. 57 hours of coachig was delivered to 19 classes. Ehaced schools' sports curriculum delivery ad provided CPD opportuities for school staff. Provided exit routes for childre to cotiue with sport out of school through the Belvoir Bees juior coachig programme. Itroduced the first Teach Cricket Touramet for school years 3 ad 4. Four schools brought 58 childre Aims Expad this project further to reach 20 schools. Icrease the umber of schools ad childre takig part i the touramet. Provide more opportuities for exit routes for further participatio out of school at the local Belvoir Bees juior cricket sessios. 10

12 Voluteer Programme Providig the opportuity for adults ad youg people to voluteer to eable them to actively cotribute to their local commuity. Givig them focused skills traiig to meet the specific eeds of the Trust s projects. Givig voluteers clear resposibility to help coach ad be actively ivolved with the developmet of childre's skills ad ejoymet Outcomes 61 voluteers delivered 825 voluteer hours. 23 voluteers helped o the Belvoir Bees cricket project. 22 voluteers helped out o our Cricket ad Coutryside Days. 15 additioal voluteers help with fudraisig, special evets ad admiistratio Aims The Trust will cotiue to icrease our voluteer etwork through commuicatio ad actively egagig with the parets ad local commuity. We will assist i developig ad urturig members of local cricket clubs to eable those clubs to cotiue i the developmet of juior cricket. Expad our work with developig youg people i takig their first steps i the coachig ladder. 14 Fudraisig ad Profile 13 Duchess of Rutlad XI v MCC Cricket Match ad Dier at Belvoir Castle Thursday 13th July The MCC cotiue to support the Trust o ad off the field ad we would like to offer our eormous thaks. Their support is icredibly valuable to the Belvoir Cricket ad Coutryside Trust. The aual Duchess XI v MCC cricket match was agai held at the Kipto Cricket Groud o a fabulous suy July afteroo. The groud looked a picture ad a big thak you should go to Ady Da the Belvoir Cricket Club chairma ad his team for supportig this evet. I would also like to thak our umpires, former Test Umpire George Sharp ad Belvoir stalwart Vic Heppestall ad our scorer Rory Kerr. O the field the game was wo by the Duchess XI to brig the series to 4-4 ad keep the Imoge Skirvig Memorial Trophy here at Belvoir Castle. The MCC wo the toss ad elected to bat ad solid performaces throughout the order eabled the strog MCC team to close their iigs o from 35 overs. The Duchess XI got off to a fatastic start ad were grateful for a match wiig partership betwee BCCT Trustee Jamie Dalrymple ad Chief Executive Darre Bickell seeig them home to a seve wicket victory. Followig the game we were hosted by Her Grace the Duchess of Rutlad to a superb dier i the State Diig Room at Belvoir Castle where 95 guests, icludig members of the MCC, ejoyed a fie eveig. Retirig MCC Deputy Secretary Coli Mayard spoke of the MCC ad the relatioship with the Trust ad Her Grace the Duchess of Rutlad replied o behalf of the Trust. We were also royally etertaied by some stories from former Eglad cricketer Graeme Swa. We look forward to welcomig back the MCC o 11th July 2018 to see who ca edge ahead i the series. BCCT Charity Golf Day held at Radcliffe otret Golf Club othursday 7th September A record field of 17 teams competed for the prizes at our aual golf day. Followig the golf our guests were etertaied to a Q&A with former Nottigham Forest footballer Nigel Jemso ad our thaks go to Nigel for his great stories, otably about the late great Bria Clough. We look forward to returig to Radcliffe ext year o Thursday 6th September. We raised just over 3,000 for the charity so would like to thak all who supported us ad we hope to see you all agai ext year.
