2 Details about the Lodge Banquet: Pine Tree Pete wants to remind everyone the things to remember for the Lodge Banquet to have it a successful one. This year the banquet theme is Remember a Member highlighting the past of Langundowi Members. This year the banquet is located in Seneca Volunteer Fire Hall in Seneca, PA. Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. We will have dinner, fellowship, and some other fun things to look forward to. Everyone brings a dish to share and their own place settings for all who are coming. The cost will be 38 dollars which will cover the Section fee, food and lodging for the weekend, the patch, our Lodge bauble, and any other miscellaneous items. 3 Hey Langundowi, Hope everyone that came had a great time at the Winter Fellowship Tropical Conclave. We had an awesome time pretending it wasn t snowing. The snow did however offer a great cushion for beach wrestling. It was amazing despite the wet socks and frozen fingers. Thank you to all who contributed to the campers by buying something crazy at the midnight auction. I better see all of you at the upcoming banquet. The theme is Remember a Member composed of a Langundowi Promo video. If anyone has pictures or videos, please get them to me ASAP (Activities, Fellowship, and Service). Yours in Brotherhood, Alec Sturtz Alecsturtz@verizon.net Unit Elections: Hello Brothers, Every year Langundowi Lodge strives to do the best that we can to prepare, conduct, and report unit elections. Unit elections are essential to the growth and sustainment of our lodge and they require a team of people to carry out. I ask you to please consider helping with an election. The election process is simple and will not use a lot of time. If you are willing to help please visit langundowi.org and click on the Executive Committee link and the district representative and his advisor for your respective district. If your district does not have a representative listed, please contact me at unitelect46@hotmail.com. Thank you, Nathan Twichel Unit Elections Chair Hi Guys! I am Matt Morgan, your Washington Trail District representative. Starting the process of coordinating all the elections for our district. If I didn t get a hold of you already for unit elections, you can send me an at matt.morgan95@yahoo.com. Yours in Brotherhood, Matt, P.S. Don t make me have to call your dad! 4 Hey Everyone! This is Adam Crosby, your Brotherhood Chairman. Congratulations to those who completed their Brotherhood at the Winter Conclave. I hope that all Ordeal members are studying so they can complete their Brotherhood at the Spring Conclave as you will be eligible by then. The Ordeals are almost here and I ll be looking for plenty of Elangomats. Remember someone took the time to help you as an Elangomat; not this is your chance to return the favor. If you are interested you can call me at or me at dcsc620@earthlink.net. Treasurer News: Hey Langundowi Members!!!! I have only two things to report. For one, the Crazy Midnight Auction was successful. It made $ !!! Let's see if we can top that next year. Also, the next message is for EVRYONE WHO WAS AT WINTER CONCLAVE! If any of you happen to have a pair of gloves that have silver tips on the forefinger and thumb, those gloves are mine. I went to look for them on Sunday and I could not find them, so I am assuming someone has them. If you do have them or know where they are, please me at rupert650@hotmail.com or text me at Thanks. Yours in Brotherhood, Michael Spaid Lodge Treasurer From the Kitchen: Hi Everyone, My name is Chris Pasky. I am the Dining Hall Steward until August 31 st. If you have any meal ideas or any other ideas in general, you can contact me by my raketh4@aim.com or find me on Facebook. Thanks! Langundowi Log Newsletter Page 4

Over 120 arrowmen had a fun, tropical weekend in the snow. Over $2000 was raised for the campership fund. Tyler Noodles and I were both pied the end of the auction. Big congratulations to our past Lodge Chief, Chris Hatch, for his election in January as the new Section Chief of NE-4A! Chris is replacing Travis Cunningham of Gyantwacia #255. Travis has been elected to serve as 2011 Northeast Region Chief! This is a great honor and responsibility for each of these young men. Langundowi congratulates both and looks forward to supporting them throughout their terms of office. Tyler and I have received some nominations for Golden Pine to be presented at the Banquet. Please send us a name and a few sentences about your nominee. Tyler is organizing the adult ballot and I am organizing the youth ballot. Send adults to Tyler and youth to me. The executive committee will vote for Golden Pine at the March executive committee meeting. Winner(s) will be announced at the Family Banquet. 7 Cryptogram A Cryptogram is a message in substitution code. THE SMART CAT might become MRX DGYUM LYM if M is substituted for T, R for H, X for E, etc. One way to break the code is to look for repeated letters. E, T, A, O, N, R, and I are the most often used letters. A single letter is usually A or I; OF, IS, and IT are common 2 letter words; try THE or AND for a 3 letter group.
