Spring Ordeal Recap Brothers, We had an extremely successful Spring Ordeal last month!! Despite the rain, we had a great time and got all of the work projects completed!

! We successfully inducted 24 new candidates, all of whom pushed through the crazy weather and completed all the work projects by 3:00!

1 Spring Ordeal Recap Brothers, We had an extremely successful Spring Ordeal last month!! Despite the rain, we had a great time and got all of the work projects completed!! We also had especially great ceremonies thanks to our amazing ceremonialists!! We successfully inducted 24 new candidates, all of whom pushed through the crazy weather and completed all the work projects by 3:00!! We had a lot of fun at Spring Ordeal, but don't worry if you missed it this year because Summer Ordeal will be occurring August 18-20, 2018 and we want your help!! Enjoy your Summer! We are also having team sing/drum practices the second and fourth week on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Here are upcoming dates were you can earn your brotherhood: August 17-19: Summer Ordeal October 5-7: Fall Fellowship Summer Ordeal Summer Ordeal will take place August 17-19th at Camp Daniel Boone. There are great opportunities to Alogomat and earn your brotherhood! The lodge relies on ordeals to get new members and the larger the turnout the better! So get your unit elections done and bring your troop out. Owen Koppe - Tsali Lodge Secretary secretary@ 2018 NOAC The National Order of the Arrow Conference for 2018 will be occurring from July 30th to August 5th of this year at Indiana University. Tsali Lodge has recently been granted additional youth spots from National, which we are looking to fill with eager arrow-men. The cost of this event will be $800, which will include transportation, lodging, and food (except for trip to and from). 4 2018 Vigil Honor Inductees Tsali Lodge is proud to present the 2018 Vigil Honor Class Mike Lundy Dorian Owenby Blake Williams Marc Asaad Samuel Brown Lucy Thorne The Vigil Honor is the highest honor that the Order of the Arrow can bestow upon its members for service to lodge, council, and Scouting. Membership cannot be won by a person's conscious endeavors. The Vigil Honor is a high mark of distinction and recognition reserved for those Arrowmen who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort, and unselfish interest, have made distinguished contributions beyond the immediate responsibilities of their position of office to one or more of the following: Lodge Order of the Arrow Scouting community Scout Camp Under no circumstances should tenure in Scouting or the Order of the Arrow be considered as reason enough for a Vigil Honor recommendation. Any member of the Order of the Arrow registered in Scouting and in good standing in a regularly chartered lodge is eligible for recommendation to the National Order of the Arrow for elevation to the Vigil Honor provided that, at the time of the recommendation, the individual has been a Brotherhood member for a minimum of two years. A lodge may nominate a maximum of two percent of their registered Arrowmen once a year, through the Vigil Honor petition, found in the annual re-charter packet. 7 Dixie Area Recap Quest Events Recap Indian Affairs Recap Dixie this year was a real accomplishment for us. We had a very limited amount of people who were able to participate in the quest events and training stations. We came first in three quest events fire building, the chariot race, and the war canoe. We also did a training session in the morning which was lead by Quentin Stalker. He did a great job in presenting the special opportunities we as Arrowmen have at high adventure camps. Overall we had a great time at Dixie, and my hope is that next year we can bring home more first place wins. Tsali lodges Indian affairs and ceremonies team had a very successful weekend at Dixie fellowship. I would like to thank all the brothers that competed in IA events.
