Business Arising from Previous Minutes: Merv Wegener advised the AFLNEB Umpires shirts will remain the same colour as 2014 but an alternative strip has been arranged for possible clash with club guernseys Stationary order to include Runners and Water Carrier shirts and singlets. Existing Runners shirts and Water Carrier singlets to be sent to Merv Wegener for labelling. ANZAC day draw change includes Murray Magpies v Lockhart game to be played on Saturday night. Formal correspondence from Magpies yet to be received. Level 1 Coaching course to be held 22 nd February in Wodonga and another course on 14 th March at a Venue TBA. Mark Tilders advised barrier to HFL Junior U13s and U16s proposal is too many young players would be lost to the O&M competition on completion of HFL U16s football.

3 23/01/15 HFL Request for Tribunal & Advocate training (To P.Habel) 29/01/15 Feb 1st Opening of AFL Online Transfers/Clearances (To HFL Clubs) 29/01/15 AFL NSW/ACT Coaching Courses (To HFL Clubs) President s Report Merv Wegener, Brendan I Anson and Paul Beesley attended the AFLNEB Commission information night held early Dec Possible changes with AFLNEB regarding introduction of Points system and Salary cap. The Commercial Club in Albury has offered $2000 sponsorship package to the HFL Interleague. Hall of Fame dinner to be held at Commercial Club and Logo placed on Interleague guernsey. Fernwood Fitness has offered Hume Netball Ass. Sponsorship in the form of Netball Umpire Polo shirts. Currently 80 registered Umpires for the AFLNEB. Junior and Senior coaches meeting to be scheduled 7pm 23 rd March at Walbundrie sports ground. Interleague catering to be negotiated. Deadline for interleague player nominations to be last week in April. Motion: Jindera will host 2015 Interleague subject to the ground being in suitable condition towards the event. (Jack Bradley) Proposed GWS Super clinic to be 17 th March at Culcairn. TBC. AFL NAB Cup game at Lavington Sports ground 14 th March. Auskick Packs due early March. Youth Umpiring Development Programs to be held during term 1 of school period. Female participation in AFL has been a growth area within the region. AFL NSW/ACT Update. (Paul Habel) League Affiliates Forum from 28th Feb to 1st March 2015 in Wagga. Concussion seminar 1st March in Wagga. NSW Working with Children Check reminder to all clubs Giants Academy Program information flyer Super 15s Preseason Knockout Competition in Wagga 21 st & 22 nd March. Josh Grants applications soon to be circulated. League Information Handbooks soon to be distributed. JLT Insurance reminder to all clubs.

4 Hall of Fame Dinner Brendan I Anson advised there would be a points system used to determine candidates for the HFL Hall of Fame. Five candidates to be selected for the dinner. Proposed Dinner dates 29 th July or 8 th August. Each Club will be allocated 10 seats at approx. $35 a head. Online Registrations Dalton Wegener advised clubs to begin online Membership Renewal process if not already done so. With the approval from the HLTA, the HFL Online Registration Form now requests important Medical information as part of necessary match day requirements. With the help from AFL NSW/ACT, club umpires will now be required to register online. Each Club will be allocated 10 seats at approx. $35 a head. General Business: Hume Netball Association Report (Julianne Clancy - President) o Acknowledgement of Fernwood Fitness Sponsorship. o AGM completed at the end of October 2014 with Executive status quo. o AGM minutes included request for HNA representation on the HFL Mgt Comm. D.Wegener confirmed HNA representative may attend meeting as a guest and Mgt Comm. Charter allows external candidates to nominate. o AGM minutes also suggested possible criteria for HNA Rising Star award. o 2014 HNA competition very even with seven different Grand Final winners. Brendan I Anson advised of the structure involved with the Wangaratta Junior Football Carnival 24 th May 2014 with the aim of giving HFL U14 players representative experience. Peter Murray recommended the League instead hold an Intra-league U14s game(s) on Saturday 23 rd May before the U17s. Mgt. Comm. to discuss options. Dalton Wegener reminded clubs to complete and return Club Directory Listing ASAP. Merv Wegener suggested previous winner(s) of the Azzi medal be invited to Presentation Dinner. Mgt. Comm. to discuss option. Noel Livermore raised concerns that player payments within the League and region are very large and getting out of control. Andy Dore advised the Billabong Crows would prefer playing junior footballers on the first grade bench rather than paid players.
