Some great play was witnessed as Ryan Jansa made a double bogey on his first hole of the tournament and still managed to shoot 12 under for a two day total. Not to be out done, his wife Julie took the overall gross championship for the ladies. Congrats to all the flight winners. Pro Am Jam is back! The dates are August 9 th thru the 12 th. First Dakota National Bank and all the sponsors have done it again. What a great week we have lined up. In addition to the tournament we have some great entertainment as well. Friday night the entertainment is scheduled to begin around 7:30pm and on Saturday, 7:45pm. Tickets will be available the week of the event starting Monday, August 6 th. Food and beverage tickets will also be available starting next week, August 6 th here at the clubhouse. If you don t plan on attending the entertainment, we respectfully ask you not to give your tickets away. Please keep in mind, the entertainment is a 21 and over event. Thanks to those that were able to attend the annual shareholders meeting. Things went well and we have now collectively finished the overall haul of the assets at the club. The feedback has been very positive and I hope that all of you have and are enjoying the changes to the club. Your feedback is always welcome. Thank you to Ron Houston for his presidency and welcome Jay Chesley to his new role as President of the board of directors. The 3 rd annual Bluebird Café Night is scheduled for September 7 th. Please mark your calendars for this great event. This year looks to be the best yet. Hard to believe because the past 2 years have been spectacular. Steve Azar is back and bringing along Gary Burr who has 14 #1 hits with the likes of Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Lee Ann Rimes, Christina Aguilara, Kelly Clarkson and more. Added to the lineup is Victoria Shaw. Victoria has had 4 Emmy nominations and numerous ASCAP and SESAC awards. She is also the recipient of the of the ACM songwriter of the year award. You don t want to miss this event. The cost is only $40 per person and includes a wonderful dinner. There are still plenty of golf events to partake in. Look inside the newsletter and get yourself signed up. Fall golf is the best! Pool hours will adjust once school begins. During the week, the pool will be staffed from 4 to 8pm and on the weekends, we will be staffed from 11am to 8pm. The pool will be open during the week from 11am to 8pm but will be swim at your own risk during non-staffed hours. A phone will be available at the Tiki Bar for any service you may want or need. This September I will ring in my 12 th year anniversary as an employee and am extremely grateful of the different roles I have been given throughout the years. Never once did I think that a small part time serving job would turn into a rewarding career! With the new position, I am happy to announce a New Member Promotion to you. For each new member that you bring to the club, you are given back their respective first months dues as a credit on your account. The credit will vary based on which category the new member selects. You are welcome to contact me for questions or more information. I can t think of a more exciting time here at The Club than now. Currently, there are less than 9 Full Memberships left available before this category is maxed out, so if you have someone on the fence, please encourage them to not wait too long! I look forward to seeing everyone around The Club!

The summer has flown by, and with school starting soon I know you all get busy with activities. When your time does allow don t forget about the club. We still have plenty of activities to keep you as busy as you want to be. Thanks again to everyone who participated in the Adult-Junior Scramble on July 4 th. We had 85 participants which was a great turnout! All the winners are posted on the bulletin board outside of the golf shop. After losing to Willow Run 5 points to 7 points in the first match, they rattled off 3 straight wins: Prairie Green (7-5), Bakker Crossing ( ), and Elmwood (9-3). Our team consists of Will Hurd, Gannon Cauwels, Greyson Cauwels, Austin Heibult, Eli Buss, Zack Greble, Riley Christensen, Kate Dirksen, Derek Andersen, Paxton Lynch, and Jack Stocklin. Nice work team!! Congratulations to Jim Olson on his recent Hole in One on #8 of the Short Course. The hole was playing 114 yards, and Jim used a gap wedge. He was also in the Hole in One Club, so it was worth close to $1800! If any of you aren t in the Hole in One Club and want to be please let us know in the golf shop. (Continued on page 5)

These new holes will be used for all matches/tournaments going forward. You are now responsible for posting your own scores to GHIN after each round. Remember you can post a 9 hole score after 7 holes, and an 18 hole score after 13 holes. For the holes not played you take par plus your handicap strokes if you would have received one on that hole. Thank you to all the kids that participated with Jr Golf this year. It was another successful and fun year for all. The Country Club of Sioux Falls KEVIN PLANK HEAD TENNIS PROFESSIONAL (605) With the end of summer coming and school about to start it means the girl s high school tennis season is here. I d like to say good luck this fall to all the CCSF High School girls who will be competing, and I hope to see you all back on the courts at the club in October. And just a reminder that the SDHSAA rules state that once you re in season a player cannot participate in any group lessons but they can do private lessons. ADULT TENNIS LEAGUES Summer leagues will wrap up on August 16 th and will resume in September. We offer leagues for men and women and for all abilities, more detailed information will be Congratulations to the CCSF 14U team at the USTA Northern World Team Tennis (WTT) sectional championships in Lakeville, MN. WTT consists of weekly league play for six weeks and then culminates with a sectional championship tournament. The tournament included teams from our section which is South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota and part of Wisconsin.
