NOTEWORTHY NEWS AND NOTICES. SPRING BREAK IS HERE I realize that we all want to show our grandkids a good time when they come to visit during Spring Break. Please be aware there are dangers in our neighborhood. One of the biggest dangers we have on our roads is inexperienced golf cart drivers. Board Policy 6-03, V. Vehicles reads: All motorized vehicles, including golf carts, shall be licensed; shall be operated by licensed operators in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona. Please be aware of this danger. Some of our drivers do not have the reaction time they used to. An inexperienced (unlicensed driver) probably has zero reaction time. This is a formula for disaster. Please, do not let your unlicensed grandchildren drive golf carts anywhere in our neighborhood. Dick Gothier, Patrol Manager BEWARE OF DOOR-TO-DOOR SOLICITORS When a solicitor comes to your door unannounced, offering their services to repair or paint your home, call Patrol immediately at The solicitor will more than likely tell you that they were repairing a neighbor s roof and happened to see something wrong on your roof or they were painting a neighbor s house and saw that yours needed paint. They will probably offer their services at a reduced price. You will more than likely get a reduced price because they will more than likely give a reduced product. Patrol will dispatch an officer to your location immediately upon receiving your phone call. We have a No Solicitation Policy in Cottonwood/Palo Verde that we enforce. Some solicitors will try to intimidate and pressure you to use their services. If you feel threatened at all, call the Maricopa County Sheriff s Department at and then Patrol. All homeowners are invited and encouraged to attend. CWPV COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE It's time to gather your treasures for the CWPV Community Garage Sale. Cottonwood Palo Verde homeowners may hold a garage sale on their property SATURDAY, APRIL 13 th. Items for sale must be contained in the garage or driveway area of the property. Homeowners will be responsible for their own advertisement. Signs will be allowed on this day only and one self-supporting tent style Garage Sale sign, no larger than 25 x24, is permitted on a homeowner s property. HOMEMADE SIGNS ARE PERMITTED. The cleanup and relandscaping on the west side of the site where the sewer line was installed has been moved to next week. We are hopeful that work on the building slab can begin next week as we are waiting for the concrete contractor s schedule to clear up. Please remember the site is a HARD HAT area and only open to authorized personnel. Keep up with the FAC progress by checking out the website or visiting Homeowner Services to view the updated photos.
