1 PRIVATE CLUB MATTERS OCTOBER 2012 CLUBHOUSE CONSTRUCTION REMAINING ON SCHEDULE DESPITE SETBACKS After sustaining the impact of Tropical Storm Isaac, construction of the clubhouse was naturally set back a few days due to limited site access, but we have still managed to be productive. We installed three large specimen oak trees in the new cart staging area. The pavers continue to be installed and are being tied into the circular driveway at the club arrival. The circular drive will eventually include new pavers as well, but this process will take place at a later stage, when the club adds a full porte cochere to the arrival point. The Ryder Putting Green was moved, and sod was placed around its perimeter, allowing the full site work to begin on moving the adjacent cart path and PGA Tournament Building and scoring plaza. We are currently making up for lost time during the tropical storm. The Ryder Pavilion has been removed from the south side of the clubhouse to allow site work to move into the new expansion pad construction phase of the project. 7 PAGE 7 OF 8 GOLF TIP OF THE MONTH PROPER SWING PATH By Jamie Fordyce In order to hit the ball consistently straight to your target, your swing path must swing along the circle as pictured above. Pressure is the main reason that your swing will not follow the circle over and over again. Too much pressure on your right side is the most common fault that negatively affects your swing path. Shoulder pressure will throw off your tempo as well as your swing path. Improper balance in your feet will make your body lift up and down as you swing the club.
