News from the Gate GENERAL MANAGER S CORNER Happy July 4 th! I know many of you leave town for the holiday. If you do, have a great trip, & please be safe.

David Buerkle has accepted the Jeff Keeler, CMAA, PGA, USPTA General Manager position of Director of Tennis.

While in Camilla, David oversaw the city s tennis program; which he grew from almost nothing to having a vibrant and active tennis program.

So when you see David please introduce yourself and welcome him to Doublegate.

It was great to have him here and the staff really enjoyed the learning experience.

I hope a lot of you had the chance to meet Chef Paul and had the opportunity to enjoy one of his famous fried Lobster Tails!

So bring your noodles and floaties, and relax while you enjoy the show. Dinner will be offered during the movie.

Lastly, we are having a difficult time keeping children from swimming in the Blue Hole and fishing on the course.

Fishing is not allowed on the course at any time, along with swimming in the Blue Hole. We kindly ask your help us with this challenge.

2 News from the Gate GENERAL MANAGER S CORNER Happy July 4 th! I know many of you leave town for the holiday. If you do, have a great trip, & please be safe. I have some exciting news to share about our tennis program. David Buerkle has accepted the Jeff Keeler, CMAA, PGA, USPTA General Manager position of Director of Tennis. David is originally from South Florida, but has lived in Camilla for the past ten years. While in Camilla, David oversaw the city s tennis program; which he grew from almost nothing to having a vibrant and active tennis program. David brings with him a wealth of experience in both junior and adult programs and lessons. His first day at Doublegate will be August 10. So when you see David please introduce yourself and welcome him to Doublegate. As many of you know, Chef Paul Albrecht was here recently working with our culinary team. It was great to have him here and the staff really enjoyed the learning experience. Chef Paul teamed up with our staff for the majority of the week, and the reviews were outstanding. I hope a lot of you had the chance to meet Chef Paul and had the opportunity to enjoy one of his famous fried Lobster Tails!! As we move deeper into summer, we ll be offering more events at the pool. On July 12, we will host a Dive-In Pool Movie. So bring your noodles and floaties, and relax while you enjoy the show. Dinner will be offered during the movie. We are having a family poolside BBQ on July 17; and hosting a kids swim competition on July 27. So come out and enjoy your pool. Lastly, we are having a difficult time keeping children from swimming in the Blue Hole and fishing on the course. Please understand the Blue Hole has a lot of water moccasins in it, and the lakes are full of chemicals used on the golf course. Fishing is not allowed on the course at any time, along with swimming in the Blue Hole. We kindly ask your help us with this challenge. This might have been the best Member-Guest ever. The weather was perfect, the golf course was in the best playing condition ever, the food and the bands were over the top. Most of the matches went to the wire. Congratulations to the winning team!
