2 Club News Dear Members, Our new greens superintendent will report for service on October 8, Mark Mitchell comes to us from Seminole Golf Club in Jupiter Hills, Florida where he was the assistant to the Super. He has Champion grass experience since Be sure to give him a big Doublegate welcome when you see him. Friday Member Drawing The month of October brings new excitement for the drawing. I will be drawing 3 member numbers instead of just one. The first drawing will be for $1000, the second for $500 and the third for $250. This gives you two more chances to win!!! Dear Member, After careful consideration and much discussion, your board of directors recognizes dues revenue is key to the financial well-being of Doublegate Country Club and paramount for its success. Dues remained unchanged last year and we are sure you recognize the need for inflationary increases. The costs of operations steadily rise, as they do in your home or business. Payroll, food costs, maintenance costs, leased equipment, utilities, insurance (to mention the most obvious), all increase each year. Although the financial position of DCC is stable, we need to insure your investment remains sound, while providing superb services, coupled with great food, pleasant dining areas, excellent golf facilities, a superior tennis program, accessible fitness center and most importantly, a staff dedicated to your pleasure. The board has unanimously voted to increase dues by 3 % in all categories, beginning with your December 31, 2011 statement. On the Menu Sunday Brunch 2 nd Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef Meat & Veggie Lasagna Chicken Piccata 9 th Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef Roasted Pork Loin Fried Chicken 16 th Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef Salmon Piccata Fried Pork Chops 23 rd Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef Fried Chicken Salisbury Steaks The monthly fee increases per membership category are only: Golf membership: $8.30 per month; Social /Intermediate Single membership: $5.95 per month; Non-resident membership/35 and under membership: $4.50 per month; Active Military: $3 per month Also, the board has again approved a dues reduction, (one free month), in all categories for prepaid dues received on or before 11/30/11. We cannot accept these payments any later than December 15 th in order to allow adequate time to properly record and adjust each member s billing account prior to the December 31 st billing. No exceptions. We trust you will continue to support and be a part of the success of Doublegate Country Club.
