Wiggins was examined by the doctor and cleared to fulfil engagements after being stood down at yesterdays Eagle Farm meeting due to illness. Race 1: Opat Painting Maiden Plate m 1st - Bjorn 2nd - Dustal 3rd - Little Ish 4th - Step Up Lady MECAPO'S READY (E. Wilkinson) began awkwardly and lost ground at the start as a result. SHADY DEAL (P. Schmidt) jumped in the air as the start was effected and was slow to begin as a result. STEP UP LADY (J. Byrne) jumped outwards at the start, making contact with JET TO SUCCESS (K. Matheson). DUSTAL (B. Appo) was inclined to shift out under pressure in the straight, resulting in B. Appo having to stop riding and straighten approaching the 200m and again leaving the 100m. HARD NUT TO CRACK (G. Killen), I'M LIVINGTHEDREAM (M. Cahill) and JET TO SUCCESS raced wide throughout. MECAPO'S READY (E. Wilkinson) raced greenly throughout. When questioned, G. Killen advised that he was pleased with the performance of HARD NUT TO CRACK and believed that being caught a little wide in running may have a detrimental effect on its finishing effort. A post-race veterinary examination of HARD NUT TO CRACK failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Race 2: Opat Waterproofing Specialists Class 3 H'cap m 1st - Clonmacnoise 2nd - Soul Crusade 3rd - Wishmore 4th - Zenawomann

2 SHESASTAD, which sustained an injury when being loaded onto its float for transport to the course, was declared a late scratching at am. SIR VAN TEES (T. Harrison) overraced in the early stages. Leaving the 1400m, CLONMACNOISE (G. Cooksley) improved 3 wide to obtain the lead near the 1200m. FLIPPIN MARVELLOUS (D. McWhinney) was inclined to overrace approaching the 1400m. ZENAWOMANN (G. Killen) raced wide from a point leaving the 1300m. When questioned regarding the improved performance of CLONMACNOISE, trainer A. Jones stated he was pleased with its last start effort at Eagle Farm, when only beaten by 6 lengths. He was of the opinion that today's wet track conditions, and the fact that it was able to lead comfortably, were factors in the improved performance. SOUL CRUSADE lost its near fore plate in running. Race 3: Opat Painters and Decorators Maiden H'cap m 1st - Mazardi 2nd - Hot Chilli Milly 3rd - Flying Weapon 4th - Monto SAUVIGNON BLANC (D. McWhinney) raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 4: Opat Concrete Repair Specialists Class 3 Plate m 1st - Montreux Jazz 2nd - Neurum Road 3rd - Keepin' Grace 4th - Harrisville Stewards questioned apprentice B. Appo in regards to the tactics adopted on NEURUM ROAD, in particular his reasons for shifting away from the rail rounding the home turn, which allowed MONTREUX JAZZ (T. Harrison) to obtain a run to his inside. Apprentice Appo stated that he was instructed to lead on the horse if possible, which he was able to achieve after approximately 200m. He added that he was advised that NEURUM ROAD may not handle today's wet track conditions, and if possible was to seek firmer going away from the rail after straightening. Race 5: Dulux Paints QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate m 1st - What A Gal 2nd - Pinespun 3rd - Gids 4th - Million Kisses FIFTH COLUMN (G. Cooksley) jumped outwards at the start, bumping ROCKING EMPIRE (K. Matheson), which in turn shifted out, making contact with PINESPUN (A. Allen), which lost ground as a result. G. Cooksley reported that FIFTH COLUMN raced very greenly throughout and overraced in the early and middle stages. Leaving the 700m, GIDS (G. Goold) had to be steadied from the heels of GO THE SHOW (M. Cahill). After passing the 500m, G. Goold, rider of GIDS, attempted to force a run to the outside of GO THE SHOW and to the inside of MILLION KISSES (J. Byrne), which resulted in GIDS and MILLION KISSES bumping on a number of occasions and also causing GIDS to clip the heels of GO THE SHOW and blunder. Apprentice G. Goold was issued with a reprimand for directing his mount out when there was insufficient room to do so. Leaving the 400m, GIDS had to be restrained from the heels of GO THE SHOW (M. Cahill) when apprentice Goold, rider of GIDS, attempted to improve between that horse and ROCKING EMPIRE (K. Matheson), where there was insufficient room. Apprentice G. Goold, rider of GIDS, was further reprimanded

3 for this incident. Race 6: Opat Concrete Repair Specialists Class 3 Plate m 1st - Gold Copy 2nd - Fiesty Belle 3rd - Ludo Rock 4th - Zigurat DESTINY'S DANCER was declared a late scratching at 2.21 pm due to transport difficulties. ESPRIT DE CORPS was examined by the veterinary surgeon on arrival at the track after the trainer reported that the horse had struck itself in his stable, sustaining minor lacerations. The horse was cleared to start. LUDO ROCK (K. Matheson) and ZIGURAT (A. Spinks) bumped on a number of occasions leaving the 1200m due to LUDO ROCK shifting in. As a result of this incident, PRESIDENTIAL (K. Wharton), which was racing to the inside, was tightened for room. LUDO ROCK raced wide throughout. B. Swaffer reported that STRAIGHTUP HUSTLER did not travel comfortably throughout the event and was making an abnormal respiratory noise post race. A post-race veterinary examination of STRAIGHTUP HUSTLER failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. A. Spinks, rider of ZIGURAT, was fined $100 for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m in a forehand manner. FIESTY BELLE lost its near fore plate in running. Race 7: Opat Leaders In Painting Benchmark 75 H'cap 1200m 1st - Ty Seeker 2nd - Nickiera 3rd - Running Vixen 4th - Maroon Bells MAROON BELLS (A. Taylor) was slow to begin. BANANA KICK (M. McKenzie) and GRAIN TRADER (P. Schmidt) were tightened for room between TY SEEKER (C. Schmidt) and INVINCIBLE MATE (E. Wilkinson), which shifted in. MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO (G. Goold) began awkwardly. GRAIN TRADER was inclined to overrace in the early stages. INVINCIBLE MATE, COCKTAIL SUPREME (B. Appo) and MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO (G. Goold) raced wide for the majority of the race. Stewards questioned trainer T. Whittington regarding the seemingly improved performance of TY SEEKER. Mr Whittington explained that following the disappointing performance of the horse at its last start, he had blood tests carried out which failed to reveal any abnormalities, following which he had a chiropractor treat TY SEEKER. He added that TY SEEKER usually performed well on rain-affected surfaces. Stewards reminded Mr Whittington of his obligations to inform stewards of any abnormality that may come to light which may have had an effect on a horse's performance. Race 8: Opat Quality You Can Trust Class 1 H'cap m 1st - Sir Knox 2nd - On The Deck 3rd - Change Often 4th - Canningly Trainer T. Hall was fined $200 for failing to declare riders for ON THE DECK and LOVE LAUGHING by the prescribed time. SIR KNOX (M. Hellyer) and BROCKTON FLARE (P. Schmidt) were tightened for room at the start between

4 LOVE LAUGHING (G. Goold) and MISTER TIPS (A. Taylor), both of which shifted ground. STALWART ESTA (M. McKenzie) was slow to begin. I'M BUSTED (M. Cahill) shifted in near the 1000m, taking CRAIGLEA MASTA (K. Wharton) inwrds and tightening the running of MISTER TIPS (A. Taylor), which had to be restrained from the heels of BROOKTON FLARE (P. Schmidt), which was racing to the inside. M. Cahill, rider of I'M BUSTED, was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. B. Appo, rider of CANNINGLY, was severely reprimanded for shifting in near the 800m when not clear of REDSYN (E. Wilkinson), which had to be steadied. I'M BUSTED (M. Cahill), BROCKTON FLARE, CRAIGLEA MASTA (K. Wharton) and ZAHAVAH (J. Byrne) raced wide throughout. G. Goold, rider of LOVE LAUGHING, reported that his mount did not travel from the 600m and, in his opinion, did not handle today's racing surface, proving disappointing over the concluding stages.
