Hanson Race 1: Suncoast Cabs Maiden H'cap 1600m BOUCHARD As A. Allen was to be overweight, A. Sewell was substituted as the rider of the horse. Stewards took no action in relation to this matter. BERNIN CASH Jumped away awkwardly. ROMAN RUBY Slow to begin and was hampered shortly afterwards. Raced greenly in the early stages and when overracing in restricted room near the 1200m and had to be checked and lost ground. STREET COMIC Inconvenienced near the 1400m. Steadied when placed in restricted room after passing the 800m.

2 ROSEBERY AFFAIR Inconvenienced near the 1400m. When racing at heels near the 900m had to be steadied and shifted wider on the track for a short distance. AIRLIE MAN Raced wide in the early stages before being permitted to stride forward to a position outside the lead when passing the 900m. WICKED HEIGHTS When the pace slackened overraced leaving the 1000m. REAL GANADOR Obliged to alter course in the early stages of the home straight to secure clear running. Race 2: Fuji Xerox Business Centre Sunshine Coast Maiden Plate 1200m WITHOUT DISSENT Hampered on jumping away. JEXERLENT Jockey R. Stewart, rider of SUGGAN BUGGAN, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in approaching the first turn near the 850m, which resulted in MAHRATTA, which was overracing at the time, being taken in and encroaching on the line of JEXERLENT, resulting in that horse having to be checked when tightened for room to the inside of MAHRATTA. Jockey R. Stewart was suspended from riding in races for a period of 10 days, to commence at midnight, 18 June and to expire at midnight, 28 June. CUTTING JET Steadied to avoid heels approaching the 800m. MYSTIC EYES Inconvenienced approaching the 700m when JEXERLENT shifted out. WHISKEY APPLE Inconvenienced approaching the 700m when JEXERLENT shifted out and was forced wider and then raced wide for the remainder of the event. MAHRATTA Shifted out after passing the 600m to improve and made heavy contact with another runner, and then continued to make contact with that runner and had difficulty securing clear running until passing the 400m. SUGGAN BUGGAN Bumped by another runner after passing the 600m and continued to be buffeted by that runner until passing the 400m. Stable representative M. Sharp and jockey R. Stewart were questioned regarding the tactics adopted. Miss Sharp indicated it had been the intention to ride the horse positively out of the barriers at the horse s only previous start, however it had been slow to begin and was therefore ridden at the tail of the field. She indicated again the intention was to be positive out of the barriers however did not expect the horse would begin as well as it did today and was therefore further forward. Jockey R. Stewart confirmed that these were the instructions on both occasions and also indicated he was surprised how well the horse began today s event. Stewards advised Miss Sharp that in similar circumstances it would be expected she would advise stewards of her intentions. Race 3: Tensens Class 2 H'cap 1200m

3 PINCH MOUNTAIN Change of tactics. Connections advised that the horse would be ridden with cover just behind the lead. Subsequently settled midfield with cover. Bumped when another runner shifted out to secure clear running rounding the home turn. NATURAL BLACK Slow to begin and hampered by another runner at the start. FLAMIN MOGUL Blundered on jumping away. Overraced and then raced wide throughout without cover. CUSHION PINK Slow to begin. TURKANA Overraced in the early and middle stages. Held up for the majority of the home straight whilst inclined to hang in. REMLAPS JOY Overraced in the early and middle stages. MILITARY MISS Bumped by another runner rounding the home turn. Raced wide. OUR ROCK O REILLY Apprentice T. Brooker reported that the horse overraced throughout EXCEEDINGLY CANNY Jockey G. Colless reported that his mount was inclined to lay out in under pressure in the home straight. The track racing was upgraded to Good 4 after Race 3. Race 4: Contract Hydraulics Pty Ltd QTIS 3yo H'cap 1000m STARANTE As J. Guthmann-Chester was indisposed, C. Bayliss was substituted as the rider of the horse. DOMINANT CROWN Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Overraced in the middle stages. STARANTE Slow to begin. PRIORTISE Overraced in the middle stages and had to be restrained from heels near the 600m. SECRET MO Laid out under pressure in the home straight. TVERSKY Raced greenly in the home straight and laid out under pressure. Race 5: Battery Wise Sunshine Coast Class 1 H'cap 1000m VALFIEERNO Trainer S. Kendrick was fined $100 for the late declaration of rider for the horse. Apprentice T. Brooker reported that her mount hung out and indicated that trainer

4 S. Kendrick may consider sending the horse for a spell in light of today s performance. MAKE HER OWN WAY Change of tactics. Connections advised the horse would be ridden in a more forward position if circumstances permit. Subsequently settled behind the lead. FLASH HERO Hung out rounding the home turn. Raced wide. STAR OF POMPEII Raced wide. Race 6: Integrale Homes BenchMark 65 H'cap 2200m I FEEL GOOD On return to scale jockey M. Hellyer weighed in at 59.5 kilograms, which is half a kilogram below his allotted weight of 60 kilograms with the 1 kilogram vest allowance. Stewards acting under AR143(a) allowed jockey Hellyer the half kilogram allowance for the weight of his bridle and therefore declared correct weight. Stewards were satisfied that jockey Hellyer had not been in breach of any rules and no action was taken. THE BARRACUDA Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn for clear running. MONACO SNOB Stood flatfooted as the start was effected and lost significant ground. Overraced in the early stages. TISANI GREY When the pace was only steady in the early stages was shifted wider on the track and ridden forward to a position outside the lead when passing the 1200m. AURORA ROSE Stewards questioned T. Harrison regarding her tactics adopted and the overall performance of the filly. Of concern to stewards was that the horse had won its last start whilst leading and it appeared jockey Harrison restrained her mount where opportunity appeared to be available for it to lead in the early stages. She advised that she had been instructed to ride in a forward position and rode the horse in a similar fashion to the way the horse was ridden at Ipswich on 31 May. She indicated that at the horse s most recent start when leading she had attempted to secure cover, however by restraining no rider improved to her outside and she was left in the lead. She added that the performance today was somewhat disappointing, however she felt this may be attributed to the horse having its third start in 12 days and also having been stepped up in grade. A post race veterinary examination revealed a deep laceration to the off hind fetlock. Race 7: Love & Partners Chartered Accountants Class 1 H'cap 1400m BRONZEGATE The start was delayed when the horse had to be resaddled. CRIMSON GOD Slow to begin. RED RIGHT OUT Overraced in the early stages. THE OVERDRAFT Whilst weakening over the concluding stages had to be checked when tightened for room between LEDOYEN, which shifted out under pressure and

5 LIMESTONE COWBOY, which shifted in under pressure. Both A. Sewell, rider of LIMESTONE COWBOY and G. Golless, rider of LEDOYEN, were both reprimanded for failing to stop riding and straighten their mount. Jockey R. Stewart reported that it had not been his intention to lead, however with the addition of blinkers today the horse race keenly and he advised that, in his opinion, the connections should consider removing this piece of gear for its next race start. ANDARI A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from heat stress. Race 8: Coast 2 Coast Earthmoving Class 4 H'cap 1400m SAVANNAH DREAM Overraced in the early stages. Jockey L. Tarrant reported that his mount raced greenly throughout. BILBERRY STAR Slow to begin. ALWAYS A GIBBERER Jumped away awkwardly. Overraced in the early stages. MONO LAD Overraced in the early stages and improved on to heels leaving the 1000m and shifted out, racing 3 wide from that point onwards. HIDDEN GOLD Inconvenienced by another runner and forced wider near the 1000m. STEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARY
