Ostrofski SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS TEAR IT UP suffered a sesamoid fracture whilst competing in the Deagon Trials on 16 December. Ms Tegan Harrison, who was riding the mare, was uninjured. Trainer B. Baldwin was today interviewed regarding reports that HEART OF MANY had taken charge of it s rider during slow work at Eagle Farm on Friday 12 December prior to the gelding competing in the Coca-Cola Class 6 at Doomben on Saturday 13 December. Mr Baldwin advised that a work rider had difficulty in restraining the gelding after light work on Friday last due to the reins being attached to the head collar, but denied that HEART OF MANY had a sore mouth. Mr Baldwin added that the gelding had sustained an injury to the off foreleg when competing in the Coca-Cola Handicap on Saturday and was receiving veterinary treatment. GENERAL As M. Hellyer was indisposed due to personal reasons riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Race 1: PARCELL BUILDERS QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE M Apprentice B. Stower was originally declared as the rider of WIG WAM BAM, however due to her not holding the appropriate licence for today's metropolitan meeting, she was replaced by apprentice S. Payne.

2 FLIGHT RULER - Had to be steadied when tightened near the 700m. Lost its near hind plate in running. GUNDY STORM - Bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground. Commenced to overrace for some distance leaving the 800m. Raced three wide from the 700m. MOE'S TAVERN - Slow into stride. STONECAST - Raced wide for the majority of the event. CAST OUT - Commenced to overrace for some distance leaving the 800m. Race 2: DARBY DARBY QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE M GENERATOR GEORGE - Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously for a short distance leaving the 800m and had to be steadied from heels and again near the 400m. MACSPICK - Overraced for some distance leaving the 800m. Held up for a short distance rounding the home turn. NAZAR ROYALE - Raced wide throughout. THE MONK - Raced wide throughout. Wanted to lay in under pressure over the concluding stages. UMGENI -Slow into stride. CHIEF'S FAV - Lost its off fore plate in running. PARTY TILL DAWN - Raced wide throughout. When questioned as to the horse's seemingly improved performance, trainer G. Heinrich noted that from a wide barrier at its last start it raced further back in the field than expected and then peaked on its run over the final 200m. Ms Heinrich noted that on that occasion the horse was first up from a spell and she was of the view that it would derive some fitness benefit from that run. The explanation was noted. BEKANNTES - Stewards questioned J. Byrne in relation to the horse's disappointing performance. J. Byrne stated that the horse travelled well throughout the race, however on a number of occasions during the event wanted to change legs. J. Byrne could offer no explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer R. Heathcote was at a loss to explain the poor performance and advised stewards that he would consult with his stable veterinarian and notify stewards should anything come to light that may have had an effect on the performance. A swab sample was taken. Race 3: GLENDEN HOMES MAIDEN PLATE M The start of this race was delayed when ESCAPE ROUTE, which had become fractious in the barriers, was removed, inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. DUNRUNIN - Connections advised that if the horse jumps on terms, it will be ridden in a forward position if circumstances permit. The horse raced just off the speed. Hampered on jumping away. Wanted to lay in for the first 300m. Forced wider leaving the 400m. SIROCAN - Hung out leaving the 400m.

3 WAR ROBE - Slow into stride. Forced wider leaving the 400m. ANNAMAN - Forced wider leaving the 400m. ESCAPE ROUTE - Forced wider leaving the 400m. EMMA'S POCKET - Due to a clerical error in the race book, blinkers was not advertised as being part of this horse's gear. A public announcement was made to this effect. Slow into stride. MAGGIORE - Held up rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery. MISS WAR TRACE - Forced wider leaving the 400m. ROUGE SUN - Hampered on jumping away. Race 4: 3AMEF MAIDEN PLATE M GIVE 'EM CURRY - Raced wide throughout. PUDMARDELS - Raced wide throughout. Apprentice S. Payne reported that his saddle shifted back shortly after the start. S. Payne was reprimanded for using his whip excessively on a horse out of contention. SECOND LOVE - A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery. SHADOWLESS - Began awkwardly. WARNING SIGNAL - Tightened for room near the 700m when ROSE OF TRAVESTON laid in and away from ANGEL ALLEY. At a subsequent inquiry stewards were not of the view that any one rider was at fault for this interference suffered by WARNING SIGNAL. LOCOMOTION - Stewards questioned C. Munce in relation to the horse's performance. Jockey Munce stated that the horse raced keenly in the early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure approaching the home turn failed to respond to his riding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Race 5: CASADA CONSTRUCTION MAIDEN H'CAP M KOBI CREEK - Trainer M. Palmer reported that the horse shifted its off hind plate during running. LAKE VICTORIA - Steadied shortly after the start. NAHARIYA - Knuckled on jumping. Race 6: Q ROOFING CLASS 5 H'CAP M SIPPIN'BUNDY - Shifted in and made contact with the running rail when overracing near the 1500m. Race 7: SCHULZ'S WHOLESALE MEATS F&M CLASS 4 H'CAP M MOON AND THE STARS - Apprentice R. Jamieson lodged an objection against ATHENA FIRE

4 being declared the winner, alleging interference for the length of the home straight. After taking evidence from all parties stewards established that near the 300m ATHENA FIRE did shift out and brush MOON AND THE STARS, however from that point onwards MOON AND THE STARS shifted away from ATHENA FIRE in the run to the line. Bearing in mind where the incident occurred and the margin of a nose separating both horses at the finish, stewards could not be satisfied that the incident had any material effect on the placings and therefore dismissed the objection and declared correct weight on the Judge's placings. MORE BEAUTIFUL - Slow into stride. Race 8: JOAN DIECKMANN RETIREMENT BM85 H'CAP M Correct weight was delayed to enable stewards to view the photo finish for 4th. REGULAR - Raced wide from leaving the 800m. Stewards questioned apprentice J. Johnson regarding her riding of REGULAR from the 900m to a point leaving the 600m. Apprentice Johnson stated that REGULAR had shown a tendency to overrace when ridden with cover. As a result, when the tempo of the race slowed she elected to allow her mount to come out and travel three wide from that point onwards. Trainer B. Guy confirmed the comments of apprentice Johnson regarding the horse's previous racing manners. Stewards noted the explanation. A postrace veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery. BEYOND INFINITY - Slow into stride. Stewards questioned T. Harrison regarding her riding in the home straight. Ms Harrison stated that on a number of occasions in the home straight her mount put in a number of awkward strides and for this reason she was reluctant to pressure the horse to the finish of the race. Stewards noted her explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse had a slow post-race recovery. BUSH CAVIAR - Had to be steadied from heels near the 800m and shifted out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be sore over the back and rump. Trainer M. Kropp was advised that he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance prior to the horse's next start. Race 9: J B COLDSTORAGE CLASS 3 PLATE M KNIGHT TEMPLAR - Slow to begin. TRAVIESO - Momentarily held up near the 350m. Race 10: QLD POWER TRANSMISSION SUPPLIES CLASS 3 PLATE M MEZZANOTTE - Brushed with another runner near the 100m and again near the 50m. THRILLERS - Slow into stride. Brushed with another runner near the 100m and again near the 50m. LOUISIANA ROUGE - Shifted in under pressure near the 50m. SHE'S NO DRAMA - Began awkwardly. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. Race 11: DALLAS ROBERT SCHULZ C,G&E CLASS 4 H'CAP M NOVIKOV - Tightened shortly after the start. Held up for clear running from the 200m to the 100m.

5 NOVEMBER GREY - Slow to begin. SOVEREIGN SPIDER - Stewards acceded to a request from trainer D. Bell to scratch the horse at 4 pm due to the current hot conditions. PRINCE OF SOFIA - T. Bell reported that his mount wanted to hang in for the majority of the event. YO FERDINAND - Commenced to overrace leaving the 1000m. REGAL CONSERVE - Hung out in the middle stages.
