Phillips was fined $100 for leaving the course prior to the prescribed time. Race 1: Variety Queensland Maiden H'cap m Trainer M. Mair was fined $100 for presenting and racing BIANROSES without a cross-over noseband. JOLIE LAIDE, which was unable to be loaded, was declared a late scratching at pm. All monies invested on Jolie Laide were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable. 0 cent in the dollar for the Win #5 1 cent in the dollar for place of winner #5 3 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #2 4 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #11 Trainer D. Gafa was advised that he would be required to provided 2 further barrier certificates for JOLIE LAIDE prior to its next race start. ROCK HUNTER (M. Cahill) and BIANROSES (K. Wharton) both jumped away awkwardly and made contact. HARD NUT TO CRACK (G. Killen), which jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly, raced wide and hung out until rounding the home turn and then laid in under pressure in the home straight. J. Stanley, rider of ARCTIC PASSAGE, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that near the 900m, whilst being ridden along, he allowed his mount to shift in under pressure, which resulted in TORCELLO (D. Browne) being taken in on to the rightful running of FLY COURT (M. Hellyer), which resulted in that gelding being tightened for room between TORCELLO and LAKELANDS (L. Rolls). This caused M. Hellyer to take hold of FLY COURT, resulting in that horse being buffeted between those horses and losing ground. J. Stanley was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 7 meetings, to

2 commence at midnight 30 April and to expire a midnight, 7 May. ROCK HUNTER was momentarily held up for clear running rounding the home turn and was forced to race in restricted room after improving to the inside of LAKELANDS (L. Rolls), which shifted in slightly. M. Cahill, rider of ROCK HUNTER, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that near the 200m he was careless in attempting to secure a run to the inside of ARCTIC PASSAGE (J. Stanley) where there was insufficient room to do so, which resulted in ROCK HUNTER suffering interference and losing ground. M. Cahill was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 6 meetings, to commence at midnight, 30 April, and to expire at midnight, 8 May. Stewards afforded B. Stewart the opportunity to comment on the performance of SOME ARE LUCKY. He stated the gelding travelled well throughout, however, in his opinion, was very disappointing, adding that SOME ARE LUCKY laid in under pressure in the home straight. Race 2: Auscredits Finance F&M Class 2 H'cap m Connections advised that GET ON would be ridden in a more forward position if circumstances permit. GET ON raced in a midfield position. As apprentice K. Matheson was unable to claim his full allowance on SPRING QUEEN, apprentice B. Appo was substituted as the rider of SPRING QUEEN. K. Matheson was fined $200. During the early stages, SPRING QUEEN (B. Appo) raced with its head in the air whilst being restrained in an attempt to obtain cover. For some distance in the middle stages, PRETTY GULLY (D. McWhinney) was inclined to hang out. GET ON (P. Hammersley) laid in under pressure in the home straight. Stewards questioned M. Cahill regarding the performance of SHOW YOUR MONEY. He stated that he had been instructed to attempt to obtain a position behind the lead with cover and as a result of beginning well he attempted to restrain to fulfil these instructions, however he was unable to obtain this position and as a result he was caught 3 wide outside the lead. He added that near the 900m, when the pace was only steady, he elected to push forward, however runners to his inside improved with him and he was unable to cross, forcing him to remain 3 wide from that point onwards. Despite this, he was nevertheless disappointed with the overall performance of SHOW YOUR MONEY. Race 3: Noosa Car & Truck Rental Maiden H'cap m The start was delayed after PRIVATE OFFER became fractious in the barriers. The mare was removed from the gates and examined BY the veterinary surgeon and subsequently cleared to take its place in the field. AMAZING GREY (J. Stanley) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. TIPS N' TALES (M. Cahill) was slow to begin. During the early stages, TIPS N' TALES, when being restrained, raced with its head in the air and was reluctant to settle. Near the 150m, THAT'S WHATYOUNEED (R. Jamieson) was forced to stop riding and shift to the outside of the heels of ARMIDA (L. Cassidy), which was taken in by ADVENTURE KING (S. Shield), which shifted in under pressure. S. Shield, rider of ADVENTURE KING, was advised to stop riding and straighten his mount in similar circumstances. SKIPPER'S RULE (A. Coome) raced wide for the majority of the event. PETRONI (E. Wilkinson), which raced wide throughout, overraced during the early stages. Race 4: Overland 4 Wheel Drive CG&E Class 2 H'cap m

3 A pre-race veterinary examination of KING OF THE FOREST cleared that gelding to start. HEARTFELT QUEST (M. Hellyer) jumped away awkwardly, making contact with SHOW OF STRENGTH (S. Shield). Near the 1200m, HEARTFELT QUEST commenced to overrace and shifted out, making contact with KING OF THE FOREST. Leaving the 1000m, after obtaining a position in the lead, A. Holt, rider of SEQSEA, steadied the pace, resulting in STATING (G. Goold) and BLACK JET (M. Cahill), which were following, both overracing. Apprentice Holt was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances when steadying the pace during a race. G. Cooksley, rider of BREAK THE MOMENT, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that approaching the 800m he shifted in when not sufficiently clear of KING OF THE FOREST (K. Davidson), which resulted in that horse being tightened onto the hind quarters of SHOW OF STRENGTH (S. Shield). In this incident, Miss Davidson was obliged to take hold of KING OF THE FOREST and lost ground at this stage of the race. G. Cooksley was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 8 meetings, to commence at midnight, 24 April and to expire at midnight, 5 May. After passing the 800m, SHOW OF STRENGTH (S. Shield) had to be steadied when BREAK THE MOMENT shifted in. KING OF THE FOREST (K. Davidson) raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of STATING failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Race 5: Saviges Fresh & Cooked Seafoods Class 1 H'cap m EMPRESS OF ROME (M. Gray) reared as the start was effected, losing ground. CLASSIC COUNTRY (G. Goold) was slow to begin. PARK CENTRAL (K. Wharton) stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. WAY UP (E. Wilkinson) hung out from the 700m until entering the home straight. SULTRY GAL (L. Rolls) was held up for clear running during the early stages of the home straight. J. Johnson reported that despite being forced to race wide in the early stages and pressure the horse more than he would have liked to in order to obtain the lead in the early stages, she was nevertheless disappointed with the performance of LADY PRIMM, adding that the filly was under pressure rounding the home turn. Trainer B. Guy indicated that LADY PRIMM would be sent for a spell. SULTRY GAL lost its off hind plate in running. Race 6: Variety Queensland QTIS 3yo H'cap m STUBOY (T. Bell) was forced to race wide during the early stages before being ridden forward to a position outside the lead near the 1200m. WILD PRIDE (K. Wharton) raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of KENTAUR, M. Speers stated that at this stage of the horse's preparation he felt the gelding may not have been entirely comfortable on the track with its allotted weight and, in his opinion, would take benefit from today's race. A post-race veterinary examination of KENTAUR failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

4 Race 7: Caloundra RSL Class 4 H'cap m Trainer G. Pollock was fined $100 for failing to produce the registration papers for GLOVE. Trainer G. Pollock was further advised that GLOVE would not be permitted to start until he presents the registration papers to stewards. As B. Stewart was to be overweight, K. Wharton was substituted as the rider of FAIRY GREEN. B. Stewart was fined $200. HLUDOWIG (E. Wilkinson) stood flatfooted as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. Trainer A. Williamson was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding. HLUDOWIG improved quickly on to HEELS approaching the 900m and had to be checked as a result. FAIRY GREEN (K. Wharton), which overraced in the early stages, raced wide throughout. HLUDOWIG raced greenly in the home straight. M. Speers, rider of HARLEQUIN'S GOLD, was fined $100 for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m. SIGNPOST lost its near fore plate in running. Race 8: Caloundra Power Boat Club Class 1 H'cap 1200m SEEYAMONDAY (J. Johnson) and RICHENZA (L. Cassidy) were slow to begin. Approaching the 800m when the pace slackened, TAHOE CITY (M. Cahill) commenced to overrace, and then hung out until approaching the 600m. SEEYAMONDAY, after being disappointed for a run between STALWART ESTA (B. Appo) and RICHENZA near the 300m, then shifted back to the inside and was again disappointed for a run between OVERRULE (G. Goold) and RICHENZA, which shifted in, and as a result went to the line without being fully tested. L. Cassidy reported RICHENZA hung out from the 800m until entering the home straight RICHENZA was held up for clear running during the early stages of the home straight until leaving the 200m.
