The herd averaged 8200kg, 4.4% 3.3% and these strong powerful heifers are sired by Carrock Saltberg, Ballycairn Mascol Mars or Townlaw Asset and are due to calve late July and August to a easy calving Limousin sire. They are all BVD tag tested herd is tested clear of BVD & the farm is in a four year TB testing area. All of the dams of these heifers have been Johne s screened Holstein Friesian In-Calf heifers Due End July/August to the Limousin.

12 BULLING HEIFERS WB WINDER & CO, WALL END FARM, BROUGHTON IN FURNESS, CUMBRIA Richard and Leanne Winder are changing the management structure of their dairy herd and are moving to a flying herd to lessen the work load on family and possibly increase cow numbers in the future. Wall End farm is situated on the edge of the Lake District just outside the historic market town of Broughton in Furness. The site is surrounded by spectacular views of the Lakeland fells and valleys. The herd is made up of highly productive cattle that graze from early spring to late autumn. Montbeliarde, British Friesian, Swedish Red, Fleckvieh & Norwegian Red genetics have all been used over the years and with some success. The herd is averaging 7200kg 4.5% 3.34% The heifers selling are strong framed with excellent feet and legs and will develop into robust, long living, productive animals in the future. Herd Health: The herd has been vaccinated for BVD & Lepto and is tested clear of Johnes. This includes antibiotics and anthelmintics that the seller may have given prior to sale. Payment will only be made to the exhibitor. No lots can leave the market without a pass slip being issued by the main office TB Testing: All cattle over the age of 41days moving out of yearly testing herds must be premovement tested within 60 days prior to the sale. The yearly TB testing interval of the herd consignment will be provided on the display board at the point of sale. The yearly testing interval will be signified by the numbers 1 or 4. The information is given for guidance only, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd accept no responsibility for any consequences of such information All purchasers have two working days from the time of sale to satisfy themselves that all documentation received is correct and any discrepancies must be notified to the auctioneers within the time limit No cow or heifer in the last 10% of pregnancy (approximately 27 days), or that has given birth in the last week, are considered not fit for transport, and are also unfit for presentation at a market. UDDER WARRANTY Unless otherwise stated or announced, any cow or heifer in-milk at the time of the sale shall carry a Vendors Warranty that she is correct in udder and teats at the time of sale. Any claim under this warranty must be notified to the Auctioneers within one hour of the close of the sale, which can be submitted on an oral basis. If the auctioneers are satisfied that the udder is not correct in all respects, and does not comply with the warranty given, the sale of the animal can be cancelled.
