2 PRIZE MONEY AND ENTRY FEES PRIZE MONEY - Classes with 6 or less entries - 1st 30 Classes with 7 or more entries - 1st 30.00, 2nd 10.00, 3rd 5.00 Classes No Prize Money ENTRY FEES Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, :- 43 Classes 45, 46, 47, 48, and 78 :- 41 including RIHS Levy of 9 Classes OLYMPIA SEMI FINAL NO ENTRY FEE ALL OTHER CLASSES:- 34 Entries received after closing date and prior to the show maybe accepted subject to an additional 5.00 per entry providing the classes are not over subscribed. Entries will not be accepted at the show, except for classes 19 and HOUR EMERGENCY COVER FEE:- 6 per exhibitor- this charge is to help towards the cost of First Aid, Security, Horse Ambulance etc. STABLING Loose Boxes are available and may be booked for the duration of the show at per stable, including VAT SPONSORS WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY WITH THE ALLOCATION OF STABLES. FODDER NO SHAVINGS WILL BE PROVIDED BUT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON THE SHOWGROUND. ONLY SHAVINGS ARE PERMITTED in all stables, NO OTHER BEDDING IS ALLOWED. PONIES MUST NOT BE LEFT OVERNIGHT IN HORSEBOXES OR TRAILERS. CORRALS ARE NOT PERMITTED ONLY HORSES & PONIES COMPETING AT THE SHOW ARE ALLOWED ON THE SHOWGROUND. EQUINE PASSPORTS/INFLUENZA VACCINATION CERTIFICATES Exhibitors are required to have Passports for all horses/ponies when competing at the show and up to date Equine Inoculations Certificates for each of their exhibits. Any exhibitors found without a passport or valid certificate for all their animals will be asked to leave the showground. NO ENTRY FEES WILL BE REFUNDED. NO REFUNDS ON STABLES CANCELLED AFTER CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO ACCESS TO SHOWGROUND EXHIBITORS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ACCESS TO THE SHOWGROUND UNTIL AFTER 12 noon on Friday October 13 th 2017 NO ACCESS WILL BE PERMITTED between p.m. and 6 a.m. 2

3 ROSETTES & SASHES Rosettes to 8 th place. Finalist rosettes will be awarded to all competitors in Blue Riband Classes. Specials will be awarded to all competitors in the Leading Rein, First Ridden Tiny Tots and Cradle Classes. Sashes will be awarded to the Champions and Reserve Champions and to winners of the Tiny Tots, Cradle Stakes, Lead Rein and First Ridden classes. Qualifying Rosettes will be awarded in the Olympia Classes All Competitors competing in Classes 1 to 11 will receive an item of BSPS Leisurewear. JUDGING OF CLASSES All classes will be judged in accordance with BSPS Rules. ELGIBILITY Animals must be owned, registered and ridden by BSPS members Animals are restricted to the Breed Standard and the height limits laid down by the appropriate Breed Societies. BLUE RIBAND CLASSES ANIMALS ENTERED IN CLASSES 1 to 11:- must have been placed 1 st in BSPS Heritage Open Classes during 2016 or 2017 (Summer Seasons) or have qualified for the RIHS, the HOYS or Olympia in the relevant section (including Pretty Polly) in 2015, 2016 or NOVICE CLASSES Animals entered in classes 14, 15, 21-24, 41, 42, must have been a Novice on 1 st January 2017, except animals that have been placed 1 st to 5 th at RIHS, HOYS or OLYMPIA (including the current year) are not eligible. OLYMPIA SEMI FINAL Animals must have qualified for the Olympia Semi Final Classes 79 to 84 RIHS QUALIFICATION Classes 45, 46, 47, 48, and 78 are qualifiers for the 2018 RIHS the highest placed pony not already qualified in the first three will qualify. RESTRICTED CLASSES Eligibility for Restricted classes in accordance with current BSPS Rules. PRETTY POLLY CLASSES Entries in classes 47, 48, 76, 77 and 78 in accordance with BSPS Pretty Polly rules. QUALIFIERS BSPS 2017 SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS The 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd placed ponies in the following classes will qualify for the Open Classes at the 2018 Summer Championships: , 45 and 46, and st to 4 th placed ponies in Classes 12, 13, qualify for the Premier League Classes BSPS HERITAGE WOW FACTOR Ponies placed first in Open or Open Restricted classes qualify for the Industrial Salt Supplies Winner of Winners at the 2018 Summer Championship Show. 3

12 New for 2017 Method of Judging Heritage Blue Riband Working Hunter Pony classes PHASE ONE Ponies will jump a course of 10 fences including two doubles making a total of 12 markable fences one must be a spread and a change of direction must be included. 14 New for 2017 Method of Judging Heritage Blue Riband Lead Rein, First Ridden and Ridden classes METHOD OF JUDGING Ponies will be judged in two stages. STAGE ONE:- CONFORMATION Stage One will be judged FIRST by a BSPS Panel Judge. Ponies and Riders will enter the ring dismounted without saddles (as an In-Hand Class) They will walk around the ring altogether and trot past the Judge individually. They will be lined up and give an individual In Hand show, Judges will award a mark out of 50 for Conformation, Type and Freedom of Action, they will take into consideration how the pony is stood up and run out. The marks will not be displayed. Ponies MUST be presented for Stage One conformation judging by the rider except for Lead Rein ponies who must be presented, without the rider, by the leader. There may be no change of riders or leaders between Stage One and Stage Two. STAGE TWO PERFORMANCE Stage Two will be judged by two Judges, a BSPS Panel Judge and a Guest Judge. Ponies will be required to give a Freestyle show of no longer than 1½ minutes. The Panel Judge will award a mark out of 25 for Technical Performance the Guest Judge will award a mark out of 25 for Fluency and Appeal. The marks for Stage Two will be displayed. After a pony has been awarded its marks for Stage Two, its marks from Stage one will be announced and added to the marks from Stage Two. The final placing will be according to the accumulated marks in Stages 1 and 2. In the event of equal marks the marks from Stage Two will take precedence if there is still a tie the Stage Two Panel Judge s decision is final. CHAMPIONSHIP The 1 st and 2 nd prize winners will be eligible for the Championship. Ponies will be required to give a Freestyle show of no longer than 1½ minutes.
