1 Volume 52 - Issue 3 March, 2018 Air Capital Corvette Club Newsletter Message from the Prez... March dates to remember 3/11 Daylight Saving 3/17 St. Patrick s Day 3/20 Spring Begins 3/25 Palm Sunday 3/30 Good Friday Birthstone: Aquamarine Birth Signs: Flower: Daffodil, Jonquil or Narcissus February drive and eat was hosted by Doug and Mary Mehl who greeted us at the door. To Have or Have Knot was the main act followed by Flower Power the musical comedy revue. It was a great turnout with around 30ish people who ate wonderful BBQ from Pig In Pig Out and enjoyed the local talent. Mike Dierking stole the show when he took center stage. There were a couple other ACCC members who participated in the show, Gary Skinner and Dale Brotton had fun with the actors too. It was a lot of fun and laughs. If you didn t make it this year, plan on coming next year. Please thank Doug and Mary for another great drive and eat. For Corvette owners the long wait for spring can be excruciating. The good news is, it s almost here. Take advantage of the time before spring blooms by prepping your car for its first drive. You ll both be better for it. Here is a spring start-up checklist: start with your battery, check your fluids, check your belts and hoses for cracks and decay, consider bleeding your brakes, check the headlights turn signals and brake lights to make sure they all work, do a quick walk around to make sure there are no major leaks, and at last it s time to start your car. If the weather allows for a drive, bring it to the next drive and eat. See you there! As always, if you have any ideas for club events or places to go, please share them with me or an E-Board member. See you at the next club meeting on March 7th at Davis-Moore Chevrolet at 6:45 pm. Deb Schmitz ACCC President Page 1
